Still no amber trichs?
I am in day 61 of flowering. Trichs are still clear/milky but no amber. I am using cfl's and was told that the trichs will not turn amber with these lights. True or not? Should I give it a few more days or chop her down? I'm a newbie and am afraid of going too long and loose potency. Any help out there?

please dont chop them down based on that stupid advice. Yes, they will turn under cfl. It might take a bit longer, but they got this far didn't they? No reason that they will not finish too. Just be patient. You are doing exactly the right thing, waiting.
Next time, try a bit more light and see how it changes things. Having seen the before and after, you will learn a lot!
Good luck, and enjoy your harvest when it happens... but please dont waste all this time because of one person's bad advice.

by the way... i grow with T5 florescents... and they do take a bit longer to finish... typically 63-70 days.

what strain is she? most sativa sided strains can take anywhere between 8 to 14 weeks until harvest, iv never had experience flowering under cfls, but there are some hardcores on here that swear by it. keep looking under the scope, patience

finish time is train specific. 61 days is getting toward harvest time for some of the quicker strains. Sativa dominant strains can take much longer. Also many sativa dominant strains don't turn amber when they are ripe, they are done when the stalked trichomes turn opaque. CFL lighting can turn out great pot, no doubt. Keep at it.
