What route should I go?

I have a job interview coming up that I know is going to result in a UA and am looking for some advice.

I'm interviewing for a job at a hospital (IT related) and have some concerns and am wondering what route folks think I should be taking.

I'm a 21 year old male, 6'2", 260lbs. For the past 2 years I've been a regular smoker, maybe .5 a day, for the most part. For the past 6 years, I have worked at a job where I have smoked with my boss so testing hasn't been a big deal, it looks like the shop I work at is coming to an end so I've begun looking for a new job.

A friend of mine has a job at the local hospital and she's trying to help me get the gig. She smokes just as much as I do and has for just as long as I have. She took Dr. Greene's One Drop pill and passed the test, and I believe stayed clean for 3 weeks. She has a similar build as I do.

I haven't smoked for one week with the exception of one hit of a bowl last Friday. I have an interview on Christmas Eve and my friend said that she got called back for a physical/drug test about a week later I believe. It looks like I have maybe 3 weeks of being clean before I have this test... on to what I've tried thus far:

I bought a couple THC tests at the dollar store to try some stuff out. Everyone assured me that dilution will work no problem. A friend of mine who frankly smokes too much marijuana and is much larger than I, has used and swears by the dilution method along with B vitamins. I gave that a shot. No luck. I'm talking about 5 liters of water along with 2 pills which contain 8000% DV. Next, I went to my local headshop to buy the Vale Triple Strength detox drink. Followed the instructions to a T. Also bought a more expensive THC test there on the assumption that maybe its the problem of cheap tests from the dollar store. No luck. Drink didn't work. I went back to my head shop today to chat with the guy there and he said that it probably didn't work because I had been drinking a shit ton of water before I drank the detox drink and that the drink didn't properly line my stomache? Eitherway, I don't trust it. I think I may have too much fat along with too much THC. I should also mention that I just got back from Amsterdam a few weeks ago after smoking Amnesia Haze, those were some damn good buds :jointsmile: , and I felt weird smoking perfectly legally, I was buggin out there as where I smoke like it's no big deal here where it's illegal (but just barely in CT). The reason I bring this up is because I'm not sure if THC content has anything to do with... anything.

So here I am, it's one week until I have my interview, and assumedly another week or two after that til my test. I'm in Connecticut, I'm assuming that the hospital probably has the facilities right there to test the sample. From what I've read, subbing seems like the way to go. This forum seems to have a fair representation of what the likelihoods of passing are. I've read hundreds of posts about using QuickFix, and it seems like all of the ones that say that it's a no-go are people who have 1 post.

From what I've read online, the only assured way for a lab to know if it's synthetic urine is for them to have me sign a separate release saying that I will allow genetic testing to happen on "my" "urine". As I understand it, there's no need to get the Canadian version of QuickFix for the benefit of having added uric acid, however, I haven't heard anyone talk about testing in CT. Is it possible for a hospital to decide that they want to test for uric acid or are they legally not allowed to?

So what do you guys think? Should I wait until I've been clean for a little bit longer and try dilution again or should I bite the bullet and get the Quick Fix? Unfortunately, there's absolutely no one that I could ask for clean urine.

Just by you posting this thread you have doubts about dilution.. Seems like you already know what you want to do and want us to support your choice. If you need this job, spend the few dollars and get Quick Fix.

I'm certainly no expert on the subject but from what I have read I don't think that for a pre-employment test they can look for anything besides the drugs they are testing for. I have heard of Quick Fix working for a number of people. If your nervous about using synthetic urine, or you just want to save money try using someone else's clean urine. That's what I did yesterday. I just put a friend's clean urine in a three ounce bottle that I found at Walgreens. I also sacrificed one of the cheap digital thermometers we had here at the house. I wore two pairs of long underwear, it gets quite cold here, and put the bottle right up under my scrotum. I practiced with water in the bottle as much as I possibly could. The temp seemed to stay around 96 or 97 degrees. On the way to the clinic I put the bottle on the dash of my car and blasted it with the defroster. It heats up pretty quick doing that so be careful. When it was about 101 degrees I shoved it back in my pants and went into the clinic. From what I've read most tests require the urine to be between 90 an 100 degrees. I heated it a bit above that to compensate for the bottle cooling while I sat in the waiting room. When it was my time I went into the bathroom poured it into the cup, waited a few more seconds and crammed the bottle back into my pants. The temperature was around 96. Substitution is really quite easy especially for pre-employment screening because they wont watch you. If you have any more questions let me know. Sorry if I seem to have left out any details I have to run, but I'll be back to check this thread soon. There is a ton of information out there about substituting urine if your willing to look. Just remember it's much easier than you think and be sure to PRACTICE!!!

Like I said, Ive read hundreds of posts about subbing, and am thinking more and more that it's the way to go. I was just hanging at my friend's house and had to sit out on 4:20 because of this test. I'm wondering if there's really much value in continuing to abstain and see what happens on a test when I get closer to the date of the test.

I'm also wondering if anyone has any specific info about testing at a hospital, if they typically make you sign the waiver that says that it's okay to do genetic testing on the urine to verify that it's indeed mine and human.

I'm also wondering if anyone has any input on how exercising can effect things, just started going back to the gym.

I'm not to sure about hospital tests. I would assume that they are just like any other pre-employment test. Mine was at a clinic that's connected to the hospital and I didn't have to sign anything like that. As for the gym, I've heard that burning fat is a good way to boost the cleansing process. However, I was told by a friend not to work out a few days before the test. He said that because you would be releasing the THC from your fat cells quicker there will be more in your system. He recommended working out until about two or three days before the test to give them time to flush out.

Even on the off-chance that the hospital produces a consent form for genetic testing, you, as an employee, have the right to refuse consent to any genetic profiling under the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA) in which was signed into law in '05 (and revised in '08 to protect individuals from genetic discrimination by insurance companies) by then-President George Bush.

Even if the GINA Act was not in place, genetic testing is very costly and complicated in process. If the hospital really had a monomania about deterring sample subbing, they would resort to a less costly (not to mention compliant) alternative testing method, such as hair testing.

The headshop operator doesnt know what the hell he is talking about and just needs to stick with selling tokeware and stop playing human physiology... :rolleyes: What the hell makes this guy think that THC is stored in the stomach? What makes this guy think things go from from the stomach straight to the urine? :rolleyes:

By consuming the fluids, all youre doing is diluting the THCA concentration that is present in the bladder (providing that the THCA concentration is not too high). You can accomplish the same thing for $$$ less by drinking straight tap water.

Bottom line is the headshop operator had scammed you in an effort to seperate you from your hard-earned cash, and youve fell for it - hook, line, and sinker.

Well, tbh, I walked in and said I need to pass a drug test, whatcha got, and he wanted to send me straight to the quick fix and said that if I decide to buy it there that they have it. =I asked about the detox drink because my friend who is about twice the size of me swears by dilution (which as I said didn't work), I figured I just needed to use something with more vitamins in it or something. And as for your Judge Judy reference, I agree completely.

Yep, and if they were to hold the job over your head, you would OWN that employer on the grounds of discrimination via genetic profiling, under the GINA Act.

With GINA in place, dont expect the employer to produce a consent form.

Consider this yet another success story. I used QuickFix 5.7-1 and passed. Before I even got in the exam room, she handed me a cup and pointed me in the direction of the bathroom. I removed the bottle from my leg, squeezed it out, threw out the bottle in the trash can in the bathroom (which was making me freak out, shouldn't have done that!!!), handed her the sample, and that was the end of it. Didn't get asked to empty my pockets or anything, I went through all sorts of trouble attaching the bottle to my leg, had it falling down my leg on my way in to the exam, and it wasn't even an issue!

I will never worry about a drug test ever again!
