easy valve or solid valve that is the question

hello all I am buying a volcano and wish to know the pros and cons of both of these valves. I used one a few years ago and fell in love with it, and I believe it was the solid valve because it was black, no orange, can anybody explain the difference. also can one use a whip with the volcano, and one last thing how long after filling is a bag viable?

I have been doing a little reading and it seems to me that the only difference is the easy valve the bag comes attached to the valve and is a throw away where the solid valve you insert a new bag using the same valve. Can any one comment on this?

Anyways I bought the easy valve but I think I'm going to get a solid valve when I can find one for a good price.
