Help with dilution...Heavy user, test coming up next week
Got a callback from a potential employer (the "man") last week asking if I could come in for a drug test and also a physical examination.
I would have no issue substituting if I could be sure I could get away with it, however with it being a doctor visit, I'm worried that I may be asked to "turn my head and cough" as well as empty my pockets. Substitution seems impractical and unfavorable.
I have been a moderate-heavy, every-day smoker for years, but I'm pretty skinny with lean muscle mass and low body fat.
As soon as I got the call I stopped all use, and began a detox regimen using cranberry pills (2 per day), 2 kinds of detox teas (1 cup of each per day) as well as working out in excess to hopefully burn and sweat off what I can while staying hydrated. Yes, I'm aware that THC stores in fat cells and I probably can't eradicate ALL of it in the 7 days I have to pass, but I figure it couldn't hurt to remove what I can.
I have read N2's sticky in regards to Dilution but had several questions, as this apparently will be my method of attempting to pass.
My first concern is in regards to the validity of newer, more up-to-date tests. The original thread was written 8 years ago, and I'm wondering if maxing my creatine while drinking heavy amounts of liquid is still viable, or if they can now test for such attempts.
question#1: How much creatine should I take daily in the 3-4 days before the test? I purchased the GNC Creatine Monohydrate and it says a teaspoon (5g) serving is normal. Should I double this? Triple this per day? I know nothing of creating loading so I have no idea how to get my diluted piss sample to the required level. I weigh roughly 130. Also, should I take with food or empty stomach?
Question #2: Do I take creatine the day OF the test?
Question#3: It is said that gatorade or powerade can raise the specific gravity. I have also read that Tums can do the same. Thoughts? how many?
Question #3: Is there anything else I should know, or have I missed anything? Is there anything that will set off a red flag with newer tests other than Creatine levels (to check for dilution) and specific gravity?
Question #4: Since its for a gvt job, and I'll be in a doctors office, what are the chances that I get another from of drug screen? IE, Blood or Hair test?
Anyone have experience in this realm?
I appreciate any and all advice. 7 days of sobriety + dilution...We'll see.

First, it must be understood that those detox tea potions (and cranberry pills) do nothing to rid the body of THC, despite what those sales pitches would like the consumer to believe. By consuming the potions with cranberry pills, all youre accomplishing is dilution - the same thing that you would accomplish using N2's Dilution method. And the effects of dilution (regardless of configuration) are only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor is right back to square one.
There is nothing, and I repeat, nothing that can permanently rid the body of THC except for time and fat-burning exercise.
It also must be understood that dilution techniques (again, regardless of configuration) can backfire if the THCA concentration in the bladder is too high. For most longtime daily users, it would be virtually impossible to dilute that concentration enough without sending the S/G and creatinine levels into a downward spiral and sending up the red flags at the lab.
Sweating is hardly of any help because very little THCA is excreted via sweat. You can sweat enough to fill many buckets, yet the amount of THCA being excreted would still be miniscule. The rest are being excreted via the urine and bowels.

Even after 8 years (as of this writing) nothing has changed. The acceptable limits for creatinine and S/G are still the same. The steps that are outlined in N2's Dilution sticky thread are still viable today (the only exception being the 'Aspirin' step, which has been addressed in the closing post of the sticky thread).
There are no upper limits established for creatinine. As long as the creatinine level is over 20 mg/dL, its satisfactory. However, this does not mean you should go overboard with creatine-loading. Doing so can result in long unwanted bathroom sessions, sitting on the toilet seat :eek:
When doing your creatine-loading, its advisable to check your efforts with a validity test kit. These kits will also check the S/G. They are inexpensive and can be found by doing a Google search for "drug adulteration test kits". Its also advisable to pick up some THC test kits as well.
How much creatine should you take would depend on what your "baseline" creatinine level was before you began your loading - and each persons baseline is different - and youre not going to know what your baseline creatinine level is without using the validity test kits.

I should note that I have indeed read N2's thread - several times - and have not bought any $40 magical potions or elixers because the guy with dreads at the headshop told me so....
I simply thought the excercise (to burn what little fat I have on me - I'm fully aware I can't "sweat out thc") and teas with cranberry pills COULDN'T HURT. I would not be silly enough to rely on these alone.
I've read heavy excercise, then 2-3 days of stagnation with an increase of fat in my diet MAY help.
Or is this wrong too?
I'm trying to understand what it is you suggest I do. It seems as though you're saying if my creatine levels as well as s/g are "normal" with a bladder full of water, I should pass.
Could you (or anyone else) tell me the amount of creatine you would take?
Again, I'm on the smaller size with fast metabolism.

No you should not stop exercising unless the scheduled test is 3 days (or less) away. Again, youre not going to remove any THC from your system with magic potions and cranberry pills (alone OR otherwise), so stop wasting your time, energy, and money on this.

In other words, you cannot determine how much creatine you should take based upon the intake of other individuals, because once again, each persons baseline is different. You need to have some validity test kits at hand so you can test your baseline creatinine level before you load up - and test again after you load up and do your dilution.

I've noticed there are different kinds of drug test validity test kits available from numerous vendors.
Is there a brand that you recommend, or are they all basically the same?
I've googled and found quite a few companies that sell these validity test kits.

The dilution technique in general if you, a longtime daily user, have a THCA concentration so high that no dilution technique can help you without overdiluting. In actuality, dilution techniques are geared more towards light/moderate users (with plenty of abstination time) rather than longtime daily users. For longtime daily users facing an employment-related U/A, subbing is the way to go if passing the U/A is important to the individual. There are many posters here who have experienced a U/A with a physical, yet still pulled off a successful sub.

I dont make any recommendations of a particular brand. I could only refer you to the Google search so you can shop and determine what brand would best suits you.
