1st time to grow - Please review and give me comments or suggestions
NOTES FROM Oct 2nd to ??
Oct 2nd: DAY 1
1. Soaked 1 Red Dragon & 1 Tangerine Dream seed for 6 hours in a glass.
Oct 3rd: DAY 2
1. Removed seeds & put in distilled water soaked paper towels & 24 hours of dark.
Oct 4th: DAY 3
1. Seeds have a small white root (Germinated) so I moved seedlings to plastic cups & put on heating pad.
Oct 5th: DAY 4
1. 1st spout (Red Dragon) is about a 1/2 ??out / 2nd sprout about 4 hours later (Tangerine Dream) is 1? out.
Oct 6th: DAY 5
1. Nothing still waiting.
Oct 7th: DAY 6
1. Nothing still waiting
Oct 8th: DAY 7
1. Both sprouts are doing well; have them on 14 hours of light with a single 2?? T5 light about 12? from leaf & 100% humidity with lid off sometimes for air.
Oct 9th: DAY 8
1. Both seeds have 2 baby leaves with 2 real leaves.
Oct 10th: DAY 9
1. Both seeds are about 1? tall & lid is now off for good.
Oct 11th: DAY 10
1. Both seeds look good & 2? tall. 4 real leaves & baby leave.
Oct 12th: DAY 11
1. Both seeds look good & left seed (Red Dragon) is 3? tall & right seed (Tangerine Dream) is 2 ½? tall.
Oct 13th: DAY 12
1. Nothing.
Oct 14th: DAY 13
1. Both seeds look great 7 both are 3? tall.
2. I am transplanting into hydro box (DWC & Top Feed Combined).
3. Put Red Dragon on the left & Tangerine Dream on the right.
4. PH is at 5.96, PPM is at 425, Temp is 76.6
5. Both seeds have 2 baby leaves with 4 real leaves.
6. I had to tie up both stems.
7. Changed light to a 4?? T5 with 4 bulbs for 14 hours a day.
8. Both seeds have 2 real leaves, 2 baby leaves.
Oct 15th: DAY 14

1. Both seeds look great, maybe to much water?
2. Both seeds look good, 3 ½? tall, they have 2 small leaves, 4 big leaves with 1 leave starting.
Oct 18th: DAY 17
1. Nice looking seedlings
2. I see small roots starting in the clay pellets.
3. Added 15 ml per gallon of Rhizotonic.
Oct 19th: DAY 18
1. Nothing new.
Oct 20th: DAY 19
1. Leaves are big & they look like small plants.
2. I am moving to 19 hours of light with a 4 bulb 4?? long T5 light about 16? from leaf.
Oct 21st: DAY 20
1. Nothing new.
Oct 22nd: DAY 21
1. I keep PPM at 650 & PH at 6.00

Oct 23rd: DAY 22
1. Plants look great; I have about 8? of root from bottom of net pot.
2. 8 big leaves.
3. Added 15 ml per gallon of Rhizotonic.
Oct 24th: DAY 23
1. Changed light to 1000 watt about 5 ft from leaves for 19 hours of daylight.
Oct 25th: DAY 24
1. Plant on left (Red Dragon) has droopy leaves but plant on right (Tangerine Dream) looks great.
Oct 26th: DAY 25
1. Changed water in hydro for 1st time.
2. Water has foam in it. (Is this salt build up?)
3. Water level is at bottom of net pot.
4. 1000 PPM & 6.0 PH
5. Added 15 ml per gallon of Rhizotonic.
6. Lighting is 1000 watt about 4 ft from leaves for 19 hours of daylight.
7. Plant on left is droopy but plant on right looks great.
Oct 27th: DAY 26
1. Plant on left is droopy but plant on right looks great.
Oct 28th: DAY 27
1. Both plants have big time droopy leaves with burnt tips, purple stems on older leave but green stems on new growth with some spots on them. Main stem is growing but looks like its peeling with bumps. Left plant is worse!
2. Changed water (Tap water) & set to 680 PPM & 6.0 PH & cleaned out foam from sides and bottom of hydro.
3. Dropped water level to 1 ½? from bottom of net pot.
4. Lighting is 1000 watt about 4 ft from leaves for 19 hours of daylight.
5. Air temps are daytime 73 to 76 / Night time 70 to 72
6. I think I rushed it.
Oct 29th: DAY 28
1. Both plants look bad, both are probably 6? to 7? tall. / Droopy leaves with burnt tips, purple stems on older leave but green stems on new growth with some spots on them. Main stem is growing but looks like its peeling with bumps. Left plant is worse!
2. Changed water again and used 7 ½ gallons of Distilled water with 4 ½ gallons of tap water & cleaned out foam from sides and bottom of hydro.
3. Set PH to 5.8
4. Set PPM to 600 / even amounts of General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom.
5. Left water level 1/12? from bottom of net pot.
6. Changed lighting to 1000 watt 5?? from leave for 18 hours instead of 19 hours.
7. Changed daytime temp to 75 to 79 depend if a/c is on / Night temps are 71 to 73
8. Water temp is 73.3
9. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 23%. Tried a bowl of water with no change.
10. HOPE THEY MAKE IT!!!!!!
Oct 30th: DAY 29
1. Lighting is 1000 watt 5 ??from leave for 18 hours.
2. Daytime temp is 75 to 79 depend if a/c is on / Night temps are 71 to 73
3. Water temp is 74.3
4. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 23%.
5. PH is 5.86
6. PPM is 598 / General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom in 12 gallons.
7. Water level 1/12? from bottom of net pot.
8. Both plants look better. The one on the left (Red Dragon) is not looking as good as the one on the right (Tangerine Dream). The bottom leaves on the left still droop but the top leaves appear to be growing and maybe loosing the yellowing and getting back color. I don??t think the bottom leaves will get better. The bottom stems are still purple but maybe lighter. I think it has 4 nodes.
9. The plant on the right (Tangerine Dream) is looking a lot better. The top leaves have picked back up but the bottom leaves still droop a bit. It has good color and looks like it will snap back. Bottom stems are still purple although they seem a lighter purple. I think it has 5 nodes.
Oct 31st: DAY 30
1. Everything looks the same
2. Lighting is 1000 watt 4 ??from leave for 18 hours.
3. Daytime temp is 73 to 79 depend if a/c is on. I turned A/C down where it stays right around 73 usually / Night temps are 71 to 73
4. Water temp is 74.3
5. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 23%.
6. PH is 5.90
7. PPM is 600 / even amounts of General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom.
8. Water level 1/12? from bottom of net pot.
9. After looking at them later the plant on the left is drooping again but the plant on the right looks good. Both plants still have purple stems on the older & lower stems while new growth looks green.
10. I put 2 more tsp of micro in the 12 gallons since it has more nitrogen for the purple stems

1. I received my Method Seven glasses for HPS lights in today & I love them.
2. FIM plant on the right (Tangerine Dream) 15 minutes before light went off. Then I changed my mind and topped it instead because I will FIM the next two tops that come out.
3. Plant on left is looking better (Still a bit droopy). Plant on the right looks great.
4. Lighting is 1000 watt 4 ??from leave for 18 hours.
5. Daytime temp is 73 to 77 depend if a/c is on. Usually stays 73 / Night temps are 71 to 73
6. Water temp is 72.3
7. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 23%. Since I turned the A/C down the humidity seems to be with in 25 % to 65 %. Usually about 45 %.
8. PH is 5.88
9. PPM is 645 / even amounts of General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom with an extra 2 tsp of micro for 12 gallons.

Nov 3rd: DAY 33
1. Plant on left is looking better. Plant on the right looks great.
2. FIM plant on the left (Red Dragon). I bent the top off and 2 other spots on the side?.I think that??s FIM.
3. I bent off 2 spots on the side of right plant (Tangerine Dream).
4. Lowered light so lighting is 1000 watt 3 ??from leave for 18 hours.
5. Daytime temp is 73 to 77 depend if a/c is on. Usually stays 73 / Night temps are 71 to 73
6. Water temp is 73.1
7. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 30 %. Since I turned the A/C down the humidity seems to be with in 25 % to 65 %. Usually about 45 %.
8. PH is 5.88
9. PPM is 700 / even amounts of General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom with an extra 2 tsp of micro & 4 extra tsp of grow (2 tsp early & 2 tsp later that night) for 12 gallons.
10. Water level 1/12? from bottom of net pot.
11. Stem on the left is a lot bigger. The stem on the right is double the left.
12. Roots are long and healthy looking.

1. Plant on left is looking better. Plant on the right looks great.

5. Humidity stays in the range of 20 % to 35 %, usually around 30 %. Since I turned the A/C down the humidity seems to be with in 25 % to 65 %. Usually about 40% to 45 %.
6. PH is 5.86 ?? After putting in the adding Rhizotonic the pH jumped to 6.12 so I lowered it.
7. Added 2 ml per gallon of Rhizotonic.
8. PPM is 744 / even amounts of General Hydroponics 12 tsp of grow, 12 tsp of micro, 12 tsp of bloom with an extra 2 tsp of micro & 4 extra tsp of grow (2 tsp early & 2 tsp later that night) & 2 ml per gallon of Rhizotonic for 12 gallons.
9. Water level 1/12? from bottom of net pot.
10. Stem on the left is a lot bigger. The stem on the right is double the left.

a few things
1. Stop changing light cycle times.19 is good stick to it.
2. bubbles are your BB
3. 1/12" too close.Once well rooted drop water level to at least 3 or 4 inches below net pot.
4. water temp 74 not good should be around 66.Warmer the water the less D/o2 it can hold.Also good chance for root rot at high temps.
5. Humidity 20%-30% not good too low.
6. Light level 3' - 4' too high.I go about 1' - 1.5'. Caution dont lower your light level if you cant keep temps down.
7. Some strains love hydro some not so much.

Humidity is a bit low for veg. Which should be 45-50% In flower you will want humidity at 35-40&. However; Plants adapt and this should not be your problem. It seems to me that you are on the right track, but I never saw where you mention how many gallons your rez holds.
At the stage you are at; I would be running ppm at about 1200 ppm with ph of 5.7. So your solution is weak in my opinion.
Are you running fans? One should be aimed right below the 1000 watt to blow away radient heat; the 2nd fan should be oscillating in order to move air all about the room.
Temps are fine.
don't use rhizotonic so I cannot comment on that. But; I would never add an extra 2 tsp here, and then again later!
Light times of 18 hours is typical of Veg cycle, but I always use shorter cycles like 16 hours in order to attempt to induce female plants. Longer light periods on plants from seed tend to cause more male plants.
Hope all is well; I see you quit posting a while back, and; I also think that if you8 have issues; You should post a couple good clear picks of problem area.
