Carbon filter question

Hi guys/gals I'm growing in a tent and will be purchasing a carbon filter to reduce the smell. My question is where do you hook it too? All of the filters seem to have only 1 inlet. Should they have an inlet and outlet flange to hook ducting to both sides?

mine is hanging in the tent. ducting to and thru my lights, and out the window.. this configuration vents the tent and cools the lights..works great...

Hook the intake of your fan via ducting to suck the air from the tent using your filter. Mount it up high and you can also take out heat. On the other side of your fan, duct the filtered air outside of your tent... mine goes outside.

Wow I just got my filter its huge and heavy is that normal?

Did you expect it to be small and light? I have one of the small ones, and there is 16 lbs of charcoal in it. I would say it is normal.
