i have 6 plants about 1 week old all very close together under a 200 watt 6500k cfl, sometimes i wonder if thats too much light, cause i see alot of other ppl using much less and getting great results, also will this be too hot 4 inches away this bulb definetley puts off heat

Sounds like too much heat rather than too much light...
Maybe 8 inches away would be good to start. If the seedlings start to stretch then it might be too far away, so move it a little closer,
If they become too bushy then move it away. You want o keep about 1 inch between each node. then you have the sweet spot regarding light distance.
Listen to your plants, they are always showing you something :)

Everything is just fine. But be sure you let the pots get a little light between waterings.
You are doing good. Relax

Oh, be sure you get a small fan blowing on them to train the stems.
Just let it blow them lightly for about 10 minutes every hour.
All the best

I just opened mine in "Indoor Growing" I think.
Maybe there is a "Grow Log" area, I forget.
Follow a link in my signature and you should be in the right area.
