Need advice on height....

I have 8 feet to work with in my closet that measure

7.2 Wide
2.2 widths
8 high

I can place 10, 5 gal buckets in there = 10 plants.

I am growing 12 right now in 6' starter pots, I will repot in 2 gal pots at 3 weeks and will keep them in these pots till a week or so after I start veg, "around 5 or 6 weeks old or 2 feet in height" I will keep 1 male and trash the other males and repot into 5 gals.


My question is, I have 8 feet

-1 foot for 5 gal bucket
-3 feet for 600W horti "heat"
1 foot for clearance of light fixture.

That leaves me with 3 foot plants or 4 foot if the horti can get a foot closer.

Just wondering how some of you with the similar situation work around this.

well, you could try reading up on some Low stress training methods..my last plant was a slight S shape and it gave me a big yeild for a 3 foot plant

You could also carefully prune your plants to produce shorter more stocky buds

At the bottom of the pot, is it best to layer rocks and sand, inch or 2 depending on size of pot used
