Question about test bureaucracy
Hello everyone! I am new to the forums, but I have been lurking around for about a week. I have read a lot of your posts on subbing with QF or anything else, and I think I have all the theoretical knowledge I need to do it.
I have a question regarding the test facilities themselves. I have a few job offers and all of them require me to pass a drug test.
My question is twofold:
1. Are test results saved for future reference? What I am asking, really, is in case I come out positive (dirty sample) for any reason after taking the test for employer A will they keep those results on file, and if so, will they notify employer B when I come back to take it again?
2. If I successfully pass my test, will I be able to give those results to all employers in a small time frame (For instance, a week after the results)?
I am new to the United States and I am still getting used to the fact that they even drug test for employment here. I really don't know how it works and the whole system is completely foreign to me (not just the drug testing, but the entire job application process).
I would appreciate answers based on experience or knowledge, guesstimations will not be very helpful.

1) Record of a drug test (particularly in the pre-employment category) is regulated to some extent under provisions of ADA and EEOC. That is what can be tested for and when.

EEOC, Laws, Regulations & Guidance > Prohibited Practices:
2) Test results from one employer will not and cannot be used by another (positive or negative). The results may be communicated to that employer alone.
