Need a little help assessing root health and hydro nutrient brix

I'm new to hydro. I had a complete explanation of my nutrient mixture and everything but it was lost trying to upload photos. In short I'm running around 450ppm solution using CalMag(~120), Protekt (~70) and Pureblend Pro (250) knowing that once the gender is known I'll be transitioning to flowering nutes. I have some temperature issues being summer in the Southwest but it doesn't get over 85. I put two .5l frozen water bottles in the tank at least once a day to keep it cool. These plants were rescued and are Blue Mystic and Aurora Indica of unknown gender. They're almost a week into 12/12. My roots are developing a slimy coating that wipes off easily. Two questions:

Is this cause for great concern with the roots?

Comments on my nutrient concentration, is it in the ballpark?

4" can fan ducted pulling air from the inside of the room exiting to the outside, no filter at this time.

From the looks of it you have brown slime or cyano-bacteria. the rez temp maybe part of it but not all. it is an imbalance of good and bad bacteria.

Bad news is if untreated it will cause root rot . I have tried many things and only found one that will take care of it quick.

Go to a pet supply store and get E.M. ERYTHROMYCIN anti-bacterial fish medication.. it comes in little pouches for ten gallons of water . So you will have to devide a pouch, it's like a crushed asprin.
change your water add your nutes and add this. don't add it all the time. only when you see a outbreak. it will take care of it overnight.

Thanks for the tip I'll investigate. I was out of town yesterday but upon return there was additional new aggressive root growth with the latest solution change. The plant probably gained 20% vegetative size in 36 hours. There are new white roots developing with large capillary hairs. I'm still concerned and will probably give this a try as these are experimental.

Good things is it won't hurt the plants. I have been battling cyano-bacteria for years in all the systems I have tried. Sooner or later it shows up. If you have time you would want to run worm casing tea with all the beneficial bacteria and that takes care of it. Just about 6 months ago I said hell I can't lose. So I went and got a 15 dollar box of anti-bacterial and damn. It was gone over night. I ran it in the next rez change too but not since and all is clean.

Your nute temp is too high and expelling the oxygen. Put lots of air-stones in your res and get a fan blowing over the water. That'll get the temp down some. Be sure to cut all the brown roots off, they're already dead. What i do, sense i check my girls everyday anyway, is to keep an extra gallon of ferts in the frig. Take a gallon out of you res and replace it with the cold gallon about 30 minutes before. Place the gallon you took out in the frig and just rotate a gallon every day. Your nutes needs to be around 55degs or you have to get oxygen into the water.
Add the stuff LOC mentioned if you agree with it or just change your nutes.

Thanks for the advice. Temps have come down in the last week or so and things are doing much better. Two of the three turned out to be dudes and have been banished outdoors. The remaining Blue Mystic girl has tripled in size from the photo above. I couldn't get the photo loader to cooperate and upload. There's plenty of good vigorous root growth now, it's beginning the stretch process and the solution is not sliming things like it was. Thanks for the pointers all.
