Need help with soil and fertilizer for my plant please?

what kind of soil and fertilizer do i use? i do not want to mix my own. looking for straight answers please. i live in ontario and i want to go to home depot or some kind of garden place to get my soil and fertilizer. so what brand should i look for when it comes to soil and fertilzer? is there a john deer brand or something like that? thanks. also ive heard about foxfarm and stuff but i dont want to order it off the net and i dont think home depot would carry it. so does any plant food from a garden shop do and any soil as long as it has NPK in it?
