Indica Capsules and Near Death Experience

I just registered here with this site and recently got my MMJ permit here in Washington State. I am trying to replace my opiate pain meds for MMJ for chronic pain and so far am having a hard time with it, and last night was HORRIFIC!! I am not kidding any of you, It felt like I almost died. Now don't get me wrong, I smoked MJ from age 13 to 23 every day, then started having panic attacks and quit (I'm 49 now). My hubby of 15 years has been and continues to be in the MJ culture and partakes daily. In the past I have seen my hubby have some major panic attacks (that to me didn't look like normal panic attacks), he would physically lose control of his body, puke, have seizures, stop breathing and his entire body would go rigid and uncontrollably shake as well as him getting very clammy and cold. I have always helped him through it and he has not died from it but in the back of my mind I knew there was something more to his "panic attacks" then met the eye. He mentioned to me before that MJ makes blood sugar drop and this is what contributed to his symptoms, but I wasn't sure if he was correct.

So last night I decided to try the capsules I bought at the dispensary that I split into 1/2's that have the MJ Indica oil in them. The dispensary person told me that they weren't that strong. I had taken a 1/2 before this day and didn't feel much. I had also eaten an entire MMJ 1 gram cookie and felt a mild high, 2.5 hours later, so from those recent past experiences, I wasn't impressed with the edibles. So yesterday morning, I started my day by putting two full droppers of Sativa Tincture in my tea (they are very light on the MJ so I used two because one didn't do anything to me). So after having the two droppers of sativa in the morning, and the high coming on very light and slow, I took a 1/2 capsule of the Indica at around 1PM. Then when hardly anything happened by 4pm, I took another 1/2 of a capsule. I ate dinner and was watching "The Hangover" and feeling really good, laughing my arse off and then I noticed that my mind was wacky and my vision all blurred and I felt physically very strange. Now don't get me wrong at this point, I had smoked MMJ on and off for a couple of weeks and I had gotten pretty high with no problems freaking out. I found that I could handle being stoned again without panicking.

This time however, it snuck up on me and then came on all at once hours after I took it and it became debilitating. I went to get my husband and he stayed with me the entire time, reminding me over and over that it will pass. I drank some OJ and lots of water and then it just kept getting worse to where I had no control over my body. For me, a control freak, to lose control of my mind is one thing, but to lose control of my body--yikes! My shoulders were aching horribly, every part of my body that has some kind of pain weakness, began screaming pain, my body then began seizing, it literally felt like I had Parkinsons Disease! I couldn't control the jerking in my body. I My mouth even seized up and I couldn't talk and the fricking cotton mouth was so severe that I couldn't swallow my own spit and that made me freak out morel!! I began to uncontrollably shiver because I felt soooo cold, like my core temperature was too low, but when my hubby put a blanket on me, I couldn't stand it. I tried to walk, but couldn't use my legs. I thought I was going to die. I was thinking about having my hubby dial 911, but thinking about explaining it to a paramedic helped me to not dial that number!! Finally my husband forced me to eat some chocolate which was difficult since my mouth wasn't working but I got it down and it helped a little and that little bit helped me to believe that I would feel better if given time. I then lied down on the bed and shut my eyes and immediately passed out unconscious, woke up, passed out etc... until finally I was OK. It took 3 hours for me to feel human again.

Anyhoo, my point in posting here is that after this happened to me, I did some research and it seems that there are a number of factors that could have been at work here. The blood sugar decrease, my own adrenaline pumping into my blood stream (fight or flight) my body temperature decrease etc... all basically the perfect storm. I learned my lesson about the pills however. It felt like I had poisoned myself. Like the THC caused all of my body systems to go hay wire. It sounds like others have experienced this as well. I'm just surprised that it isn't talked about very much or studied, oh wait, of course it isn't studies because there are still boneheads out there that want MJ to be illegal and there is no money for studies. ugh. Anyway, by posting here I was wondering if anyone else here has experienced this? My husband has over 10 times in his history in the culture. but If he and I both had this happen, then there must be more people who have experienced this.
