Back from Vacation..Curled up leaves, toppled over..Help!
Hey Guys/Gals,
I am a first time grower and need some help. I am trying to do this grow discreetly and cheaply so here's the low down: Outdoors, a 2ft hole in the ground with Miracle grow (don't shoot me) moisture control garden soil and some added perlite. The plant is one month and one week old. Strain is Big Bang auto. She is about 8" to 10" tall. The spot the plant is in also receives full sun.
So she was doing good right before I went away last Friday. No signs of struggle. Possible Variable: I watered her with the most I have ever watered her with, 2 litters. I usually do 1 litter every 3-5days. I watered her with 2 litters thinking that I was going away and would not be able to bring her water for 5-6 days. I noted that the temperatures in the North East here where to be in the upper 90's, figured extra water wouldn't hurt. No Nutes! Just spring water.
I go to check her last night (Wednesday) and bring her water and my heart sunk. There she was toppled over, and two larger leaves at the top of the plant were curled up. We did have some bad weather up here while I was gone. Could a thunderstorm do this?
I hope I did the right thing; I put her back up and gave her a pint of spring water. Once watered she seemed to stand back up ok. I think I am going to bring a straw and bread ties and prop her up for a little while.
Before I do anything I'd like to hear some feedback. Is she over watered, heat stressed or hit by lighting?? Any advice here would be greatly appreciated.
I will be going to check on her again in a few minutes. I will try to take some pictures. Hopefully she will be ok.

That is exactly what happened to mine.... I just set them up with kabob skewers.... She should be standing right up in no time

Ok I just got back from a visit with my plant. I didn't prop her up with skewers last night so she was toppled over again. The closest thing I had to a skewer was a plastic straw. So I propped her back up and secured her to the straw with bread ties. I was careful not to tie any leaves down. She looked worse today than yesterday. Yesterday the leaves were curled up now, they are drooping. The leaves at the top look worse than the bottom. However on the lowest branch one leaf has turned yellow.
I took some pictures today to help give a better idea of what my problem is. I noted as I examined the plant that perhaps from the stem being bent over, the top of the plant became deprived of water. I hope propping her back up helps. Only time can tell.
I gave her another pint of spring water today too. Since I will be away for the weekend and it is supposed to be very hot. I stuck my finger into the soil and it seemed somewhat dry but, not crispy dry. I hope this is not over watering the plant.
FYI: I shot the pics in landscape mode..Hence some are little blurry. Next time I'll remember to change that. You can still see the droopy leaves though.

Jeeez dude...
That plant looks fcuked ! It has 4 - 6 small leaves and its a foot high ?
That's like 1 small leaf per week... I don't mean to rain on your parade at all. I'm just looking at this in a real way. And its an auto so it will bloom very soon. It has almost zero veg completed.
I don't know dude... Some thing's really, really wrong here...

Good feedback, Thanks. That is why I purchased an auto particularly the big bang auto. Description said was a good strain for outdoor grows and would finish quickly. Sounded pretty good. It was doing fine until I went away. And now it looks like this!
I must have done something terribly wrong. Maybe 2 liters of water was too much at once. Maybe I drowned it?
I will see what happens and then I am going to buy a different strain. Do Auto’s typically have poor tolerance?
I appreciate your honesty... Thanks Again.

Yea my dude its either the over watering or it was a bad seed to begin with she looks very small and weak for being a month and a week old my outdoor is a month and a week and is doing way better than that. Also a word of advice get better soil I tried the moisture control as well and I had alot of problems with control the feeds and nutes burns on the leaves also

On average a cubic yard of outdoor soil has 30 gallons of water in it. 1 or 10L of water didn't hurt it.
Looks like lack of direct light(5 hrs per day min). I say this looking at the light beaming through the overhead cover. The lower leaves going yellow say feed me.
I recommend if you going to grow outdoors to get large grow bags and dig the holes out for them. 3 gallons soil per bag, per month min. This will take away a ton of problems.
Ohh and auto flowering outdoors is not needed. IMO its never that good. But thats my .2.

talk to the member Cannabis-Seeds on this site. There is a section on the bottom of the main forum.
I got the Mataro Blue Auto Feminised this year and have them outdoors. They are doing great.
This strain are very hardy and will be fine in just about any climate. It can be wet here but the strain is also very mould resistant.
Hope this helps.
Take Care
