Need advice please! Think I can pass with dilution? Or go substitution?

Hi everyone,
I have a pre employment drug test coming up for a pretty awesome internship, but things happened really quickly so even though i stopped smoking rioght when i applied I unfortunately do not have a lot of time brfore my test. For reference I am a female, 140 lbs and early 20s, pretty good metabolism (have been same weight for about 5 years) eat decently well but certainly don't gain weight quick when I don't. I also usually excercize 2-3 times a week. I have been a pretty consistent smoker for about 3 years, in varying amounts. Sometimes very heavy (multiple bowls a day), some times only on weekends, and in past year anywhere from once a day to once every other day but in varying amounts (thin joint, fat joint, Small bowl, one hitter, etc). As a general rule of thumb, at most I go through an eighth a month, usually a little longer than that. I have been abstaining since 6/3 so 10 days now. My test is at lab corps in NYC on Friday so by then it will be 12 days. I am really torn about if I should go dilution or try substitution. Unfortunately it really is not that easy for me to get clean pee to sub, I have very few completely clean friends who aren't also on some other type of thing like a prescription, and I am still not sure if they would really give me it if I needed. I am nervous about getting synthetic by quick fix or other brands. I cant have it shipped from spectrum because I am in NJ and it is not allowed, so my only option is to go buy it somewhere else in the CIty. It seems to me like buying from a store has more chance of it being a recalled or tampered or expired version or whatever else that makes it risky....

I am going to test myself at home later this afternoon, really hoping that I'll pass. Planning to test in the afternoon after drinking a good amount all day, to see what my chances are with very light dilution. If I pass that, then I'll do it again the tomorrow morning without diluting. I'm assuming I will fail that way but we'll see. If I DON'T pass my home test tomorrow even with diluting, then I guess I am really screwed and will prob start thinking about how to sub, prob using synthetic unless one of my clean friends is willing to step up which seems unlikely.

Anyway I will post again based on test results.. But what do you guys think I should do? It seems to me that lots of people who smoked a more than me and had less time to abstain pass just fine with dilution, but also seems there are some with even more time and smoking less than me who somehow don't pass using this method. There is also always the risk of over diluting, which I think may be easy for me as I am kind of small and usually pee a lot anyway even when I don't drink a lot. But I'm really not sure if subbing a synthetic can work either, or if it's worth the risk. So, what would you do if you were me? Obviously I will post again later after I take the home test, but any first thoughts or opinions everyone?

Just to let u know, I also have creatine pills, vitamin b complex and a detoxify ready clean drink to use in case of dilution, plus cranberry juice and Gatorade. I have also been told to take a few shots of vinegar leading up to the test, any thoughts on this? Sounds crazy to me but this whole situation is crazy! Haha

As an everday smoker subbing is probably going to be your best bet. There are places online that will ship synthetic urine to you. Dillution might work but its pretty risky. if you really want this job I would go the safe route with subbing.

Thanks for your help killerweed420 :D There are stores that will ship even though I am in NJ where it is apparently not legal? I will have to look into this.

As an update, I just took a home test and passed! I know thats not a guarantee, but do you think it means I could have a good shot at passing on my own with medium dilution? I did not dilute all the way but it was probably at least my 4th or 5th void of the day and I have been drinking more water and cranberry juice than I normally would the past 2 days. I used a First Check home test, which tests at same level as my test on Friday will. This is also the same time of day which I will actually take the test on Friday. I definitely feel a lot better, I know that there is still no way to be 100% sure unless I pull of a substitution but I am just so nervous about that. Do you think me passing this test means I should be okay? Any other thoughts guys?

This makes absolutely no difference at all. The human body is not some kind of machine operating on fixed settings. Metabolic rates vary day by day and hence, so do THCA levels.
Anytime you test yourself, you always use the first urination of the day. THCA concentrations are at their highest with the first urination of the day. Therefore, by using the first urination, youre testing yourself under a "worst-case scenario". And if you test negative under that "worst-case scenario", you'll test negative given to you at any time.
Taking a home test during the later parts of the day skews the results due the fluids that are consumed during the normal course of the day. The fluid consumption dilutes the THCA-concentration that is present in the bladder to where the urine sample can register a negative. The dilution phenomena is only temporary - once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine by the kidneys, and thus the donor is right back to square one. This is also why drinking a bunch of water in the days before a U/A is useless. Therefore, drinking fluids is only helpful on the day of the U/A.

Right BurntToast thanks, I do understand that, but working under the assumption that my body rates do not vary THAT much day to day, I wanted to test to see if it was possible to pass following a drinking regimen similar to the one that I plan to follow on the day of the test, around the same time that I plan to actually test. I know how it works, which is why I said I know it is no guarantee at this point, but for my first test I wanted a confidence booster of "if things are similar, then it IS possible to pass". I am going to test again first urination of the day tomorrow as a double check, but even if I fail that (I hope I wont thought!) I am working with the assumption that if I drink carefully and do things very similar to what I did today, I may still pass during my mid-afternoon test. I just didnt have the guts to test myself first urination right away! I think it does make a small difference, shows that I have a chance, and assuming that my body is not a machine but IS a somewhat pattern based and at all consistent organism, I may be able to replicate these results Friday.

i'd sub. and even though you're in NJ you can still get quickfix. i'm from louisiana and these shaddy bastards banned quickfix in 2010 but if you got the internet it's still east to get. IMO dilution is a just too much of a hassle, too easy to mess up, and you'll be pissing all day and that sucks

Hi again all... I was going to sub, until this morning to my surprise I passed a second home test on my first urination of the day! If I can do that, then I think I should be okay with maybe just mild or medium dilution. I test tomorrow, so wish me luck! I'll let you know how it turns out, but at this point I am expecting to pass. hope I am right!
