A few questions... with pictures.
First of all let me say that I am 41 and have not smoked in probably 15 to 20 years as I have a Class-A CDL and if I lose my licence I dont eat (I dont know how to do anything else). I dont live in a legal state (Southeast) so passing a drug test is madatory. I am looking into smoking again mainly for the medicinal value (plus I miss it :thumbsup: ). I have severe carpal tunnel in both wrists, severe pain in my fingers (arthritis?), high blood pressure and diabeties (on meds for both). Which strain is best for these types of joint pain (no pun intended :D )? I am growing (first attempt in MANY years) some bag seed given to me by a friend, but I would like to grow the best strain for my particular pain. A few pics are attached of my small 2'x2' wood grow box. Also going back to the drug testing... I have been reading about a spike you can add while you're filling up the urine cup. They are kinda pricy but does anyone know how good they work? Any other new methods out there that work? All thoughts, ideas, and comments are welcome... I cant afford to lose my job. Thanks in advance.
Plants are about 2 weeks old, box is 2x2x3, and the 6 lights are CFL's totalling about 22,000 lumens.

Now for strains and that is what you really are wanting to know the most about, right now? . . .for your conditions. There is a section for Strains about half way down the page. You've probably found that by now, though, I hope. But go search. I know it must be a bit foreign, but if you can post picture, most likely, you can navigate the forum better than i.
High Blood Pressure is one thing you definitely do not want to use MMJ for and particularly if it is a sativa. Do you happen to know what type of High Blood Pressure you have (if they used words like pulmonary or anything like Type # or ?) If not, doesn't matter a whole bunch, you'd know if it was real important. They would make sure you knew. Is your hypertension job related? (not uncommon for drivers) We have a AK-47 for professional drivers (kidding)--it is a sativa strain, or at least has a strong lofty head highness with it, I'd suggest you:( don't joint around with it:thumbsup:.
Sativa's give more of a head high and I personally feel an increase in my Blood Pressure and pulse with most. Most bagweed is sativa and widely it was rumored that all weed has a pinch of sativa in it, IDK, I read it here many years ago and it hasn't been changed. However, I have had some pretty good bagweed over time and it got much better here with our MMJ law.
Indica's are more of a body high, and sits you down a spell on that hardtail. Purples are pretty good for pain issues. Usually can't go wrong with an OG of most sorts.
A problem lately, here in Cali is, the collectives will put a Indica on the shelf and it is Sativa, or a sativa is listed as a hybrid . . etc. you can't be sure, unless you read here and do a bit of research and old fashioned learnin', if we told you everything we know, you might miss something more relevant to your conditions, that we may have omitted or a symptom you may have. . . But, there is plenty of info here! And if you can't find it, come back and ask, we'll either look for a link for you or maybe someone will have the answer
Oh and btw, Welcome. I used some LA Conf, mixed in some Blue Dream and some Diablo OG to make sure I go to sleep without back pain in the AM and am praying for the neck pain to go too (seems it has made me a bit verbose <typeosed>too), so I put a pinch of F1 PFaK in it too. Yep, I am pretty happy and not much pain now. The AK in the PFaK is a nice head cleaner and the the small pinch, did the trick. Sounds like I brewing up something?
Was putting my laptop away (right after that medication) and noticed I was addressing an answer earlier when my dog distracted me. So, trying to re-do it now.
Anyway, it would seem to me that most of those Indica's are more of a stay at home smoke or very small dose in public and graduate the dose for yourself. There are mail order seeds, i don't do that, because I don't grow. So don't take grow advice from me, unless I've read the answer, but still-I'd look and be positive before I took an answer from just anyone on a grow problem anyway, Experience helps when getting advice and you may want to check out the persons posts, etc.
Back to medicine/strains: Hybrids--some are just perfect stand alone medications. The LA Confidential, Blue Dream-sativa dominate and the PFaK (Poker Face x AK47). You will want to read and study. Read grows, as some growers will tell you what ailment they are growing for, not as a general rule after the first few grows, they sort of figure you've read their grows and know exactly which one. I have to go re-look and I love that anyway, always learn more, each read.
Now, are you feeling like you you were left hanging? Sorry, really isn't my intent, but hope to see you find the info here and you can start a thread in each of those forums that address's your issues. Now that you posted your grow here, it may be a conflict of the rules to post just the grow in the Basic grow forum. So maybe do that " !" at the botton left of the post and request them to move it and split up the topics? I am not sure, I clearly SEE this post would fit in at least 4 forums in here. But, I am in the liberal state of California.
Methods: There are tinctures for neuropathy, I've tried, that do work, but have to be in CA. I am not sure anyone makes this particular one I know of. There are strains, but I never really medicated for just the one ailment, either. Edibles-and there are diabetic receipes.

First of all thats for the responses. Second I am sorry about posting this in the wrong forum, I wasnt sure where to post it. If the mods feel like it needs to be moved feel free to do so.
Your comment on blood pressure kinda concerns me. Mine isnt real high, I am borderline over the limit for my DOT medical card (140/90) and before the meds it usually stayed around that point. Hopefully it wont increase too much with the sativa's. For recreational use I was interested in the head-high (I miss the brain massage :cool: ). I'll just browse this site and see what strain best suits me, until then I'll keep practicing growing the free seeds until I am confident in my abilities before buying good seeds. I actually have my plants getting yellow, but I think I may have been over-watering. I have let them dry out pretty good before watering and it seems to have helped (I also removed the yellow/dying leaves at the bottom). Also the leaves seen to be slightly curving downward at the tips. Any suggestions? A few pics taken today...
