building a grow cabinet

ok so aside from getting the lights and all the other gadgets to growing could i just build one out of scratch from plie wood and 4x4? from lowes/home depot then do all the cutting,holes(lights)fixtures myself? and if i could do it like this could someone tell me the dimensions i should go for,... i want to try and,build one to put in my room i'm looking to make it about the size of a average china cabinet or just a lil smaller i figure that be a good rule of thumb to use right? so then all i would have to do is buy some fans,lights,and what else would i need to make a good cabinet any help would be most grateful(links to threads i may have missed could be helpful also) and is DIY wiring for a cabinet similar to making a pc bomb? im pretty good with wiring small bomb mechanisms but never wired anything in this sorta setting anyways thxs and if this was the wrong place to post this then my bad homies

Think about how much supply you need. Find out what your intake is and figure out what that translates to in minimum production needed.

Also, if you make it big/wide enough, it can be your flower AND veg station with a partition in the middle.

One more thing, this is just me, old furniture works great because it already looks like something else. I deconstructed a dresser, but I bet an armoire or something big and useless that nobody wants would work perfectly.

i have kno idea what you mean when you say intake are your referring to the yield? i ve never grown before so this will be my first setup and grow but ive been up for about 4days reading this forum...eyez r so cold ... trying to grow 3 plants under 6ft and as for production do you mean how fast i want to grow it or how efficiently i want to grow it? and about how much does growing indoors roughly rise your elec bill outa curiosity? and idk but i did not think about it i might have the perfect thing do you think this will work? YOUR intake, brah. How much you smoke. It doesn't really matter; we all just use the space we have.

I grow LED, so no idea on raised bills.

That thing is perfect! Gut it, mylar it, and set up a tray at the bottom (water-proof)... OOORRR you could use the bottom drawer to hold your reservoir and the 2nd drawer up for the tray.

Try 2 plants and see what happens. Mistakes will only get you closer to where you wanna go.
