Collecting pipes in a strict state.

A few months ago I worked at a smoke shop in Missouri and ended up buying/getting a ton of new pipes during my stay.
Since I've left, I want to continue buying & adding to my beautiful collection but my boyfriend has become way too paranoid. We still live in Missouri and his mindset is: less pipes for the cops to find, less charges on us.

I'm not paranoid whatsoever and doubt we'll ever get that knock at the door. So my question is-
If we smoke out of only pipe, and store away the other 15+ CLEAN pipes, will the stored clean pipes be considered illegal paraphernalia if the police find them? Or will the clean pipes not be counted negatively towards us?

Maybe... I can stuff tobacco in the clean pipes and wrap them up when I store them? ;)
Shopping for pipes is my alltime favorite! Help!
