Please look at my tree, is it ready it ready for haversting?
Hi Everyone!
So this is my Sativa tree, standing nearly 12ft tall... It has been grown on its own naturally without any help or chemicals.
Can someone please tell me the condition(which looks quite fine to me) an maybe what strain?
Is it ready to harvest, or if I should wait another week or two?

First I gotta say nice tree and second it doesn't look quit ready but if u have a 60x magnifier check and see if the inside trice are amber or people go by when 70% of the hairs are brown

Certainly looks like its too early to harvest by now.
Where exactly are you in the world ? north or south of the equator ? In the northern hemisphere harvest is normally in late October/ early November.

South of the equator, in South Africa.

Im going into growing soon and almost everything ive read/seen talks about a handheld microscope being a great investment. I managed to pick one up for £3 the other week! When you look through the microscope you will see that the trices are in one of 4 stages.
The first is when the trices are clear, this is not recommended for harvest.
The second is when the trices are cloudy and if harvest here produces a very uplifting "head" high.
The third is when the trices start to turn amber and if harvest here the high would be a baked high or a "body" couch lock high.
If harvest when all the trices are amber and the resin heads have begun to lurch to the side then THC production has gone into regression.
Its all about timing and personal preference when it comes to harvesting your bud.
Hope this helps

According to your hemisphere.., your harvest window is around mid May.. She looks almost ready but Id say a few more weeks!
No wonder nobody could see that 12' beast. You have 30' blast walls.. LOL

Hey Everybody!
Thanks a lot ganjihound for making a few things clearer for me, I think I might do 2, maybe 3 harvests at their different stages. 1st cloudy, 2nd cloudy & 10-15% amber, 3rd a little when 60-75% amber before they lurch or so... seem like a good idea?
ThePinkJina thank you too for your information, hopefully when May month comes they look as ready as can be hehe. Oh and that higher wall to the left were made higher by the neighbors a couple of years ago. They are 'bout 8-9ft high on our side as their ground level is A LOT higher on their side than ours... I guess they didn't want US to see 'em partying or somethin' LOL :)
One thing I've noticed is there are barely any seeds... I've seen only about 3 or 4 inspecting ALL the buds, is that good or bad?
Thanks again guys!

Depends on your personal opinion of seeds. What you want to look for are pollen sacks on the plant its self. If you see em, remove em asap. You may have seeds due to the surrounding area. If there is "male" ditch weed growing near by it too could have pollinated your lady.
Like I said its all about your personal opinion.
