First grow, need a little help??

Hi everyone, i heard from a friend that this place gives lots of good informatio that works and ppl are nice. So i decided to grow and my grow will be indoors(closet)i feel "SORTA" confident that the information i have studied on will get me started. Well im going to start with some "Shity Bag Seeds" from a friend, that i want to try to grow first before i pay for some really good seeds, i figured it would be best to try and get the shity weed grow under my belt before i do any other. Anyways i cant seem to get my seeds to germinate :mad: ive had them in the papper towel an baggie thing for about a week if not more, and nothing. SO, I WAS WANDERING IF ITS I CAN JUST GET THEM TO GERMINATE RIGTH INSIDE THE SOIL, SO MAYBE THERE WONT BE ANY TRAN-PLANTING, AND IF I CAN DO THIS HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT,..i mean like dose the soil still need to drain when i try to germinate right out of the pot? and should i water every day or just keep it moist like usual? and when do i need to start adding fertilizer to my plants.

I could only find 15-30-15 (fertilizer) at the moment, but will this do?

Wet your soil. Stick a pencil size erase thingy and poke a little hole in the ground. Drop the seed in. Cover hole with loose soil or medium. Do Not compact it.

Saturate the soil with water. NO drain holes. No fertilzer for 3 weeks.

Keep the water moist at all times. I find if you put the cup of soil in a closet with lights off most of the time. the cup will stay moist. Your seed will sprout in 3 -7 days.

Make sure you have living seeds, by pressing them hard between your finger and your thumb or on a hard surface. If they crack or pop or crush, seed is useless.

I am goingto guess that your seeds are no good..

If you have done some reading and you are feeling confident I know you will be succesful.. I know seeds can be a bit costly but you should really get some good seeds or even better yet some clones.. It is a lot of time and love and energy that goes into growing a plant to maturity.. you will be so glad you used quality seeds... I promise!! : )


I have had 100% success with dropping seed into rockwool cube and keeping the cube moist... simple as that!! : )) godd luck.. and yes the people on here are friendly!! : )
