coco pellet? with dwc advice pls guys

hi all. i am switching my system from coco to dwc. however the clones i purchase come in i a sort of small sack of what looks like coco to me. in the uk i think they maybe called peat pellets. planting these in coco is obv ok but im wondering if it would be ok to sit these sacks in my clay pebbles while the water bubbles below. the sack wouldnot touch the water but may get wet due to hand feeding for the first few days.

i know it would be easier to have them in rockwool but i dont think the supplier will do it. i have thought about cutting them out of the sack and rinsing away the medium they are in but am wary of desroying my new babies.

any help appreciated.
