Exchanging baby clones

Now that I'm back to growing for myself again, I would like to try different strains of cannabis making the rounds out there, I wouldn't mind getting seeds but I've never had good luck with them, I'd rather plant babies (clones) instead,,
Where I live here in Ottawa it's such a close group of growers that will not share anything between them, if you're a grower around here them you're on your own,,
I was wondering if anyone ever thought of the idea of exchanging clones and would they survive the shipping ewither overnite or 2 days tops if they were carefully wrapped in a damp, moist towel in a plastic bag and shipped,,,what do you think?
