No sir... You should have been pinchin' the tips off.. The new growth at the end of the top stalk.. Not the whole top stalk. Seal that wound..With rooting gel.

oh shit ;/ lol owell it only a practice one growin proper ones wen this finishes. if i only pinch the top it would still grow tall though wudnt it?? there were 4 nodes wen i cut it i cut above the 2nd node lolQuote:

That looks like a good topped plant to me. Hey Ga, curious to why youre saying its not? Im just asking cause thats exactly how i do mine. Inquiring minds wanna know haha
Let's see what ya cloned ...you did clone that top right?
pushit... I say this because there is a hole in that stem.. If there is a hole in the top you cut? Then good luck having it root. Not sayin' it's not ever done.. You just had better know what your doin' before it's done. That type of topping should be done to a more established plant.. Had he just pinched the tops at an early age then it would have been so much growth now by pinchin', instead of outright drastic topping as that. It slows the whole plants actions down.Quote:

i think this looks great. you topped it. Ga is suggesting you to super crop it at this stage, as not to lose so much time in recovery/new growth. i totally agree. i used to top for years.. now i just supercrop. cuz if it starts to take off again.. pinch that main stalk over your finger, and that will buy you at least a week. a plant is super resilient.. i had a fan fall into the dead center of a 4x4 tray, with no face guard on it.. at 3 weeks flower. and after alot of tape and tears, it ended up being one of my biggest yields at the time. what strain is that? looks indica, is it an og?

This looks like a good spot to put this. Also IMO you should never do something as stressfull as topping just before putting into flower. Top/fim then let the poor thing recoup, I do atleast a week, before doing any major changes.
