First time here saying Hi.
I am new to medical cannabis or any cannabis for that matter. I have many health issues and continue to have the VA push pain meds and psych meds. I wanted to try cannabis and went to a doctor who was GREAT. He talked about dosing and different was of using cannabis. I have stopped all pain meds now for 4 weeks and am feeling pretty good. My pain has gone for between 3 & 6 to 1 & 2. I am still trying to get the dose correct for my sleeping but slept good last night. Thanks for being here and ANY input or feedback is welcome.

Hi Ya Papa, im on the narc's myself, but not in a med state, YET! Its great your off that crap, i hate the stuff, but need em with the MMJ unfortunately. The good news is after 2 months of not smoking i pee Monday and smoke when i get home, iv been up a couple months too.
As for sleeping, i try and have a good brake from the last time before i want to sleep. So i may smoke some early then wait till evening to smoke for sleep, plus i dont use much through the day as [FBD] - first buzz of the day will be more effective then smoking 3-4x a day. So i guess what im saying is try to put space between your last use, this way your not just stoned all day and will be pretty clear before you use before you want to sleep. I like to use a good Indica, but its best for pain and i sleep well with anything thats good. Plus i like to smoke around 11-12 pm while in bed watching TV so at first you will be awake for a bit, then you will feel yourself getting sleepy. This is when i turn off the TV and get a great 7-8 hours of sleep and wake up feeling great. Now this is me, but you might try it and every strain of MMJ will act a little different, but this may help ya start a good routine.
Hope this helps as i can only tell ya how it works for me. Enjoy yourself here, its were i learned most of my growing skills and Dutch Pimp does know what he's doing, he helped me along with others here. Best advise is read, read, read then kill a few plants while asking questions, a grow log helps a lot. Looking at mine in my Sig makes me laugh now, but was proud as a peacock while growing/logging them. And i got better and so will you, some people just have a green thumb and after all, its just a weed, lol.

You may also want to try simpson oil. It can be more intense than smoking bud. Some of my patients have had success using the oil to get off of their pain meds and stay off of them too.
They have also reported that the oil has helped them mentally deal with their problems. There is a video Run From the Cure, best way is to make your own.
