You can but you can end up with hot spots too. Usually its better if you can just paint the wall a good semi gloss white.
tin foil actually takes away the energy from the light meaning your plant doesn't recieve as much energy to grow and produce a bigger yeild with higher potency.. Paint the walls of the grow room plain white, or an even cheaper way is put up plain white paper sheets on the walls. good luck :thumbsup:

The question isn't can you use it, the question is should you use it. And the answer is no you should not. Flat or semigloss white paint will do you almost as good as any shiny product you can buy.
i think those emergency blankets they sell at Wally world in the camping section are mylar, there probably fairly cheap.
Home Depot also sells a product call reflectix or something like that. Same principle but save the $$ and just use white paint.

Note that flat white paint is as reflective and at times more reflective than mylar. Which is why I went with flat white paint. Nice chart.Quote:
