Anyone know what causes the stem to split like this? Is it bad? Anything I can do to fix it?

Never seen a split like that before man but one thing is for sure the cannabis plant is a resilient plant. I would say to watch the moisture level of the soil around the stem you dont what any rot setting in, leave her alone (you hope) and things should be fine, for the yellowing looks like abit of a nut problem although the plant looks to young to have started feeding any nuts and hopefully the soil you bought was pre-treated with nuts in it, you need to check your soil. Have you sprayed any water containing nut's onto or in the plant. Also it could just be the seedling just getting use to the nut's already in the pre-treated soil if thats what ur using so it could just be stressed out abit from all the nut's it's getting and by just adding water it should just sort itself out. If it were me I would Just give plenty of light and normal water for a while, check the new growth for any signs of more damage or problems if not then great the plant is getting better, remember any damage done to a leaf for any reason will stay like that until the end thats why we look to new grow for signs of problems.
Using Fox Farms ocean forest soil in 10 inch pots. It's a week old seedling. Watered once since transplanting from rapid rooters mainly so that i bring the PH down a little as the run off was around 8 to start with. It's ~6.5 now. It seems that the actual splitting has finished now so it only has a 3 mm split in it.
Found a bug in my system.
Anyone know what that is? I did a time lapse and I can only see one but I'm suspecting it's the reason for what is going on here.
How should I kill it?

let it be for now it looks like a beetle dont try to micromanage yet. youll be fine just try too use smaller planters as they grow and the transplant into bigger pots.Quote:
