Missed my renewal, now what?

My card went missing, so I didn't know my expiration. Sent in a lost card notice, and they replied that it was so close to my expiration date that they couldn't send me a replacement card. Turns out it expired last week. So, I've missed the date entirely.

Do I just send in a new form and don't check renewal? Is this a big deal at all?

I renewed a couple days ago after a lapse. I checked renewal.

If you have ever held a Red Card, then it will have to be a renewal. Sucks because you can't use your proof of mailing and application while you are waiting for your new card to arrive. On renewals you have to have the actual red card to purchase, grow, or legally hold. Taking close to a month lately.

SoCoMMJ is right. This rule is a bummer.

Not much you can do other than get to the doctor ASAP and send in the renewal.

The sooner the better.

Thanks, the Dept. received my renewal yesterday so hopefully I'm re-card-ized by the beginning of December.

Took 10 days to get it back - 11/14 was the date on it, it arrived 2 days after that. Not bad! Of course I see now that they'd adjusted the rate down to $35.. I should have waited! :)
