Do I have any hope?

So today I had to take a piss test for a job I had interviewed for on Monday. This was a surprise to me because I had not read or heard about this company doing drug tests, so I was caught off guard. I had smoked Monday, but I haven't since I heard I had to take the test. I drank a bunch of water, cranberry juice, green tea, all that kind of stuff. I've been pissing clear all night but I was still nervous about it. When I gave them my sample it had a tint of yellow so it didn't look like just water. I wanted to see how might have done so I bought an at home test and failed it. So do you think I might be able to pass the actual test or am I just screwed?

That all depends on how high the THCA concentration was in your bladder and how much fluids youve consumed on the day of the U/A.


If the THCA concentration was too high and you didnt consume enough fluids to lower the THCA concentration below the U/A cutoff limits, then yes youre likely screwed.

Drinking fluids is only good on the day of the U/A. Drinking a bunch of fluids days before the U/A is of no help. It may cause frequent urination, but it has no effect on the rate in which THCA is filtered from the bloodstream by the kidneys. Once the fluids ingested had all been urinated out, the bladder is replenished with fresh THCA-laden urine and thus the donor would resume testing positive for THC.
