As long as its not so warm the paper towel drys out.
kew kew....how long should this take??
Yea I put my paper towel with the seeds on top of my computer moniter in a bag. I put some in around 9PM my time Ill tell you when they germinate.
Why people still germinate outside of soil, I will never know.
A good hard seed will germinate 99.99% of the time if thrown into dirt and watered.
WHy all the hassle with paper towels and saucers and water and shit?????
Soil, seed and water.
Works EVERYTIME and required no seedling handling.
Oh well....
That's why you still get only a few ounces from one plant and I get pounds. It's all in how you control and care for the plant and it's environment from the start.Quote:

A seedling mat works good to germinate seeds with. Don't let the paper towel dry out your seeds will die off.
OK Zandor so you're gonna tell me a seed germinated in paper is going to produce POUNDS instead of OUNCES?
Seeds germinated in paper, by itself, will result in yields 200% PLUS?????????
Thats about as broad an overstatement as I have ever seen here.
I say yield is more about, Lighting, plant training, soil medium, nutes, watering and genetics.
Yet you say germination is what creates a 200% PLUS yield???????
THats an overstatement in every sense in my opinion.
Next you prefer to "quality over swag?"
Well who doesn't?
But agin, you're gonna tell me that paper towel vs. dirt germination is going to result in superior THC content????
I say potentcy is far more determined by genetics, light source, and time of harvest than it is by dirt vs. paper.
Germing in paper towel will overcome genetics and potency?
I think you've germed a seed too many.
VOLUME AND POTENCY are far more related to genetics and long term growth environment than whether or not I dropped a seed in dirt or in a wet paper towel.
And as far as you commenting I am untrue about 99.99% seed germination, well, quite simply, you are not correct.
I have stated before, and remain convinced... the success in germination lies far more in the selection of viable seeds than in the environment the seed is germinated in assuming moisture and temp controls are in place.
I can germ 100% of seeds in dirt, with the proper seed selection and seeds that havent been subjected to mold..
ANd it isn't swag weed either.
I guess it is like the 24/0 vs. 18/6 theory.
At least we can agree to disagree yes?
Peace2u2
I'm not convinced any germination method has ANY relivance on the overall yield..
It doesn't.
Nor potency.
Far more factors play a far greater role in these two issues.
Harddon - I guess you got me on a bad day....I always get pissed off just before I turn another year older, sorry I should not have flam you, that was rude of me and I apologize.
I guess you missed the part that said "It's all in how you control and care for the plant and it's environment from the start."
It's all about stress free growing; paper towel method will give you more control then dirt. You will know there are a taproots and the health of them before you waist your time and nutrients.
Growing trees requires you to control 100% of the environment of the plant from seedling to finish. You use more light then anyone else, and control all the environmental conditions, RH, light, temperature, root zone temperature control, enhanced CO² and many other factors tree growers have figured out.
In truth to increase the potency of the THC reduce N from the nutrients feeding the last 2 weeks before you start to flush. The plant will use up the stored chlorophyll, make a higher THC content and cure faster because there is less chlorophyll to break down.
Everything starts with the seed and controlling the seed is a prime factor in controlling the growth of the plant.
