I am asking this question for 2 people I know right now.
One a dispensary owner looking for a bank and a card merchant account
another, run a 'mj related' business but sells no MJ or MJ containing products, but got the boot from Wells Fargo. Also needs a bank and card processor.
Recommendations?
I think your friends are out of luck. I think CO Springs State Bank was the last one. I talked to a CC Processor and ATM sales dude from up here. He told me there are or soon will be no processors or banks.
My understanding is that Bank of Denver is taking accounts again but you HAVE to use their merchant account system.
My wife just did battle with Wells Fargo over her MJ related business account and after a week of back and forth and meetings with managers, ended up being able to open an account.
Bank of America is taking new MMJ accounts.

I would hope Bank of America is taking anything they can get, especially if I were a shareholder.
