hey guys, assuming i was to plant you know what. the initial vegging state would receive 16 hrs of light, so when do i turn on the lights? 6am to 10pm? or 4am to 8pm?:wtf:
once it hits the flowering stage , the start time will be the same, but will be only 12 hrs long? but when i hit flowering, i want to end up starting at 6am
anyone?
If you don't have to worry about heat, you can have the start time at any time you want. However, if you have heat issues, having them on during the night is better, as it skips the heat of the day and generates heat during the generally cooler times. As for flowering, you would just take 4 hours off of your off time. If you want to start at 6 during flowering, then start them at 6 now and have them run 'till 10 pm, just mind the heat. Any kind of plant that's not meant to deal with high heat will suffer if you leave it in 100 degree temps.

@weeddaddy50 - yeah we all start this world not knowing much. i thought it would be best to be sure and have the plants safe and healthy, rather then die on something like wrong light timing. you may know alot about growing, but you too were once where i am now. Thanks for the good wishes, and i too hope for the best with your grows.
