I havent heard of it, but if you answer some of the questions above it would help.
Be wary of cheap or off brand soils. Poorly aged manures or organic fertilizers will severely burn plants if the concentration is too high.
The trouble is the manufacturer never tells you " yeah we used rabbit and chicken manure that was only 6 months old good luck!"
Don't go to the cheap on medium for your plants.... I personnally have always had great results using Pro Earth #2 and never deviate from using it... $15 a bag seems pretty reasonable for the results I get.
