Urgent please help quick

I have 10 4 week old plants. They are bag seeds that ive been growing outside last 2 years pretty kick ass.Anyways thae problem im having growing in soil 1part perilite 1part potting soil and 1 part manure plants were thriving week ago.My temp light on about 85 and off about 70 humidity light on about 45 and off about 55.I transplanted about a week ago because plants looked droppy and leafs felt crispy. I was under 250watt hps about 12" away didnt burn hand.So then i purchased 400 watt hps heard from people here more light more buds so i bought it.My ph is about 6.8 to high but they been like this since they were born and they grew great. So now i have light about 16inches away and people here told me to try oxyplus thinking they were oxygen depleted didnt help try to fert them 20-20-20- made by peters that didnt help so when i went to my room this morning 4-7-04 my girls were so droppy and wilted looking i almost cry they were so sad looking can someone please help me. :( PS i found out that my 250watt hps actually on had 150watt ballast so i dont think it was burning right because this 400 watt makes you see spots when you leave room. Could have been ive shock them.Any suggestions please.

you could have over watered them if the leaves start drooping, getting brown spots then drying out. is this starting from the bottom of the plant? if it is how often do you water?

No i only water 2 aweek and i dont saturate either.But yesterday i moved my 400 watt hps to about 25" away they were at 15inches what i think was way to much light so i raised it and they seem to be doing little better but after lights were out for about 3 hrs checked on the and they seemed to be droppy again.Is that normal and its seems to start at the top and theres no brown spots just very droppy and crisp.Thanks again if any other suggestions please write back. :D

With my 400w HPS the plants must be at least 24 inches from the light so they dont burn.. If your ph is high, that very well could be the problem. Last week my plants were less than 2 feet from my HPS and I found that my soil was very high in nitrogen. The leaves were dropping and getting little yellow spots especially around the tips and edges. The old leaves started getting very dry and the newer leaves were quickly starting to. I lowered the plant away from the light to a little over 2 feet and flushed my soil with lots of plain water and let it all run out of the bottom to get rid of some of that excess nitrogen.. my plant perked up again and the growth rate exploded, maybe you should try it

i think moving ur light away was probabl a good idea, also stop using nutrients for a while and just use tap water which has been left out overnight to let any chlorine evapourate, if this doesnt work then i dont have a clue, sorry man. good luck tho and let me know how it goes

Leaching your soil with copious amounts of water is a good idea a couple times each cycle as long as you have good drainage. It will help solve nutrient lock-up which occurs when your plant gets too much ferts. Nutrient build up can easily burn leaves and leave them dry and brittle.

Moving a 400w light to 24" sounds excessive. Remember that light decreases to the inverted square of the root. So.... 2 ft away only give 1/4 the lumens that 1 ft away give. 3 ft would give 1/9 the light. I use a 400w MH for veg (which gives 40,000 lumens at 1 ft, why settle for 10,000?) and I keep the light 8-10" and have no problem. My room temp is always 78 with lights on. No Probs!

Heat burns the crowns first while nutrient problems usually start from the bottom. Hope this helps! :cool:
