So, does anyone know how a caregiver is suppose to register on this new registry or are they automatically putting current caregivers on it? I don't want to be on it. I know how patients can change providers but how do caregivers drop patients and cease being caregivers?

They probably already have a database of caregivers. I don't recommend submitting to the regulatory scheme. Ask the MMCs how they like it. Follow a20 STRICTLY and you should have a leg to stand on in court.
that is what the dept of health told me. there is no way for a caregiver to drop patients. I may just send them certified mail requesting removal from the registry and their records.
So, not only am I telling my disabled patients, one of which can't walk, that I no longer can provide for them but they have to fill out a form, get it notarized, and send it into the DOH? This is crazy! Things sure have changed...for the worse.
