Several Questions From a Noob on Flood Plane. Have Limited Options. Predict my Result

I an new and have only two small location options. So I'll run it by you and hope to get your words on it.

My location will only give 3 hrs of direct light for starters. Before and after its spotty.
Next, my location is in hard pan like clay soil that gets an inch of standing water for as long as 24 or so hours after a multiple day session of heavy downpours. Not every time it rains. And don't get me wrong, it gets hot and dry to the point I will be watering but it will flood a tad a few times a year. So I may only get one or two sessions during my grow. Maybe even lucky. Will a single day of standing water kill them?

What I have done without research was is go for it and then research and write here.:i feel stupid:

I dug 1' wide x 2' deep sized holes and filled them with Jungle Growth potting soil@90% & manure. @10%. I am preparing seedlings now.

In another spot that does not flood but is hard clay I dug 2' wide x 1' deep sized holes and then went another 10 inches deeper with a post hole digger in the center and filled it with the same soil mix. This area will get 4 or 5 hrs direct sun.

Jungle Growth description below. Manure was the bagged kind from Wal-Mart.

So what do you say to my freelance, blind start.

18 hours on 6 hours off would be best....

Roots don't like to be in muddy water for too long but you have only one way of finding out.... Good luck!!

You need deeper holes and that clay can be a real bitch to dig through and does not drain well at all. I'd just use above ground containers, less work and you won't have any draining issues.
