WWM/PP/BB/SSH
Hello All,
WWM = White Widow Max
PP = Purple Power
BB = Big Bud
SSH = Super Silver Haze
This my second attempt.
It is the 5th day after germination.
I am using better soil and I think the seeds are really viable, I mean the WWM because they germinate in less than 24 HRS and by the third day the stem is almost 20mm long "3 seeds all of them germinted". But not really for the PP, BB, and SSH.
the PP i germinted 2 seeds one start to have little stem but not the other seed it is been 5 days now in the water. One BB is poped little stem. The SSH none germinate up till today "they were free seeds". I think they are junk seeds.
Anyway the WWM is high quality and they shooted one day after putting them in soil. And now they are 80mm long stem and one has her little first leaves poped out the second one is racing with it the third one is 65mm but on the go.
I am wondering if I should burry some of the stem because I am afraid of they would bend and break. especially that the load will increase when the leaves start growing.
I will be happy to hear your comment, support, advices and questions.
keep posted.

how much light you got on these girls?

I got a MH 400W and it is not in a box. the bulb is bertically positioned and the bottom of it is about 45cm and ir was forward of the pots about 100cm.
I am afraid of burning the plants.
ok, now i moved the plants under the light directly with a 45cm distance from the bottom of the light. I will have to make a box for the light. Another thing this bulb works without a ballast so I am assuming it is not giving the full power. the proplem is we dont have those special MH ina box or with the covers like those in the garden stores online. the only thing I know there is , is that like a projector light in the soccer field with a MH 400 W inside and a ballast, I can buy it if it is better if not i may import a grow light online.
For the air circulation I have none, but the room i am in has wall Aircondition working all the time. but the plants are under it directly so I dont thing it blows directly over them.
Do I need to burry the stem, if yes for how much. the stem is 80mm now.

Im sorry man I have no experience with MH or building light boxes.
I was just asking cuz they look alittle lanky but they are only 5 days old you could probably add alittle soil to the top to give them some support. this should only help with the initial growth since she wont have to worry to much about holding herself up.
What kinda soil are you using?

Attachment 274453Attachment 274454I got a MH set up with a ballast and I can see the light is so intense now so that will solve light craving issue if that what make the babies stretch for light. I will include pic of before and after set up.
i am using an organic soil called Care Grow manufactured in Ukraine.

I have planned for some trips concerning the plant but couldnt coz I have had dentist appointment and had to work on my car and get a hair cut,, so I didnt find a time ,, but hopefully tomorrow coz I already finished most of the weekend homework. Tomorrow the trip is for hunting a good fan and also to get a digital camera, my mobile camera suck.
as I said there is an aircondition blowing air but not directly on the plant , the air hits the ceiling then back to the floor and they do sway alillylilly bit. but i will get a fan anyway at least to dissipate some of the heat generated from the lamp when I positioned to blow on at the area between the bottom of the reflector and the top of the plant.
they stopped stretching significantly as they only grow 10mm since I start this thread i did fill the pot to almost the top just to give it some support.
they are 110 mm by now.
#1 had her first set of leave out and the second set poped alittle
#2 and 3 only their first set of leaves are outand devoloping.
here some pic but they are poor it is my mobile cam

How often are you watering?
They look pretty healthy are they 8 days out of soil?
or 8 days since planted?

WWM/PP/BB/SSH
they are 8 days since planted , they took 2 days to pop out of soil.I think the seed is strongly viable as they germinated in less than 24 hrs in a cup of water, I left them another day in the water to grow their little stem longer, and they did the stem was 10mm long , I was surprised with the result as I had weak seeds in the first try and difficulty to even get them germinate. Those are the WWM seeds, beside that I ordered PP,BB, and SSH but I dont see them as strong as the WWM., I dont know what is the reason but I think they are fresher. So I believe if the seeds didnt germinate that means it has some issue with producer storage or something like that.
Anyway when they performed that way I was sure they will pop out strongly of the soil. And sure they did, they took only 48 hrs to pop out. And because the light was weak I guess they stretched that long for the stem instead on developing leaves. Now the light is strong enough so they stopped stretching the stem and are developing leaves, they are working on the second set of leaves. hopfully they will continue to grow safely without trouble down the road, as I am still a begginer too and had trerrible proplems. will see what happens this time ,I am a bit prepared.
For the watering:
full water at the 5th day ,but I do wet the top of the soil daily just a little when it is dry
