Can I Sex My Plants in the Veg Room?

I'm new to growing and don't know if Im asking this in the right place or not but I've done some surching and can't find what I'm looking for so here goes.

I bought some seeds that were supposed to be femenized and lo and behold I've got 6 weeks into this great looking plant and find out it's a male.

I have since planted some more seeds and my plants are starting their 2nd week of veg and finally my question;

Can I just turn the lights in the veg room to 12 and 12, let them sex, and then turn the lights back to 18, 6 without screwing anything up or do I have to move them to the bloom room to get it accomplished?

Once u flip to 12-12 you start the flowering process. best bet is to take a clone and flower it out either in the flower room or in a box or closet. the clone does not have to be large enough to bud as u will just toss it after sexing.

Kool! That makes a lot of sense. I think what your saying is to take a cutting and stick it in the cloner in the bloom room. Is that right?

thats what i would do. wont see changes til its rooted, and ready i want to say 2-3 weeks? but yeah thats where u start, cut it put it on 12 baby it and watch for sex. my friend says to root it before u go 12. have fun im sure u wil figure it out.

Thanks for the help, I was hoping that I could take a cutting, put it in a cup of water and stick it in the bloom room. If I have to make a rooted clone the plant will prolly be ready to go in the bloom room before the clone. I think I'll take 2 clones and try it both ways.

The plants are too small to take clones yet but I'll post my progress and thanks again for your help!

if your plants are healthy and not topped they will almost always show preflowers by week 6 of veg...you can shave a week off of that by given them 4 nights of 12/12 at week 4...will not hurt anything...

Seventhchild I know some people who would say that 4 nights of 12/12 at week four increases chances of hermies. How much it increases who knows but any is too much.
I have some plants from seeds which are getting too tall and have not shown sex. I really need to flower them ASAP before they are 7 footers. I am around week 4 so your method really interests me.
