So if your sativa dominated plant is at around week 9 of flowering and the buds on the branches look closer to done than the main cola, what do you do? Is it ok to chop the buds that look done off first, and leave the rest for 1-2 weeks?

there's a thread about trichrome color at harvesting time. said you need something like a 30x magnifier. do a search but its like 70% cloudy 30% clear is when you want to harvest. and if you are looking at harvesting just one bud then i would make sure that they are all the color they are supposed to be.
Its not a rule against it just know that doing that can and will stunt the growth of your plant. I wouldnt do it just to chop off a few grams and leave the rest.. especially if you're leaving the main cola. I'd take the bulk of it and leave the smaller popcorn buds(smaller buds that didnt get as much light) but I wouldnt do vice versa. All in all since its a sativa and they take so long to flower, I wouldnt want to stunt them so if you aren't harvesting a majority of the plant I wouldnt do it.Quote:

@wayetlighting :spamsign: and for goodness sake learn how to spell. It looks ridiculous when sales reps can't even put a sentence together properly.
KIMJONGIL well done for getting to harvest :) Taking side samples does seem to be something that people do but be aware of the consequences for the plant as a whole. Patience is always the key - difficult as it is.
If you don't already have one then I would second the suggestion to get yourself a 30X magnifier and check the trichs closely before you start nibbling away at inviting buds.
