Most of us have found our information for growing good quality medicine from a variety of sources. Some from books, the internet and constant research and sometimes through trial and error or the personal experiences of our peers. Which ever way you learn the craft some areas will always be debatable. Such is the case with the topic of, when and how to harvest. The answers you'll find run from one extreme to another. Some suggesting to plunge the plant into starvation and a week long period of darkness to force a final stress supposedly increasing trichome production. Others suggesting to bombard it with uvb light in the final week and to harvest right at the start of your next days light cycle. The more accepted and moderate approach is a mix of all these methods together. For example uvb light for only an hour a day in the final week along with a standard flush and 48 hour dark period. I wanted some local opinions and methods because I believe that the way I harvest is going to be and should be different from the way someone else harvests in a different part of the country or world. Environment affects every stage of our plants growth, and while I understand all of our true indoor environments are going to be different, we still all live in the same region and experience roughly the same outdoor environment. Unless we are running fully sealed, perfectly temperature controlled rooms then we are effected by it. So with that in mind it would be interesting to learn what methods work best in our area. Personally I have ignored most of the method hype to this point and do a basic one week water feed/flush and harvest at lights on. I am going to add a 48 hour dark period to my next harvest and see how it goes.
