Hermie maturity?(hermie questions)
So I thought I take a moment to learn/ask about hermies? Has anyone ever grown bomb herb from a hermie? Do there trichombs turn amber eventually after the seeds develop? I had them my last grow and the trichs were still mostly cloudy little clear and all the seed sacks easily broke(shattered damn near) when squeezed...I only fed nutes for 6 weeks so I'd imagine if I went two more weeks of nutes(8 nutes 2weeks flush 10 total) the seeds might have developed?
thoughts?.....
Hermie maturity?(hermie questions)
My Island Sweet Skunk went hermi (popping nanners) in week 10, awesome bud with a couple tiny white seeds.
When My Granddaddy purp went hermi in week 3 I flowered it out,.... LOTS of mature seeds, but pretty quality smoke once de-seeded. (just low as shit yield.) The GDP is pretty stable when done outdoors tho.
Hermie maturity?(hermie questions)
are you saying that 6 weeks after dropping pollen NO seeds had developed husks? if so than the pollen was sterile and should not affect yield or maturity.... some herms do not have viable pollen ...
Hermie maturity?(hermie questions)
Nanners do not affect quality, but it does severly cut-back on yield.
Spraying the plants during the pollination process will kill the pollen not yet pulled into the calyx. (pulled down the pistil) This might alter the actual pollination schedule you're refering to. With proper plant care, seeds take 4-5 weeks just to become viable. 5-6 weeks (or more) for fully developed seeds. Depends on the strain(s) though.
Yellow or white seeds - Inviable. (too immature to trust)
Tan seeds - A percentage of them will be viable and might be fine.
Light brown or dark brown - Fully developed.
