Yeah, technologies like genetic engineering and artificial intelligence scare the crap out of me. I would really like humans to evolve naturally rather than turn themselves into "genetically enhanced" cyborgs or whatnot, but I don't really have control over that, so I just hope I'm dead by the time significant progress is made on those technologies.
maybe this is evolution?
i agree with ermitonto, thats some crazy wack stuff right there, and im quite as sure that the first ones being able to climb walls because of their genitically enhanced gecko pads are gonna be the japs, theyve been waiting for this moment for so long for example anime. ill pass on this
I think that's really quite fascinating. Humanity has been evolving itself since the beginning of time - the computer your typing on is an example of human evolution; just to a different extent. But human-kind is driving to extinction, but as ermitonto said - I too hope I'm dead by the time any of this shit happens to a large scale extent that could prove to be the end of our so called 'civilization'.
The robots will be in charge soon
i find nothing fascinating about anything being done with a remote chance of
"a human brain stuck in a sheeps body"....
i find it scary and a lil gross....
crossing a monkey and a person? i dunno guys.....im pretty solid on my opinion of this one : BAD and opening a door of science we as a society are not yet ready for..

when i read the article there was a big advertisement that said "do you know today's facts? kids who regularly smoke marijuana can develop symptoms of what psychologist call an "amotivational syndrome"
