I know its been awhile but I've been fighting the swine flu for quite some time, being a diabetic is rough. But anyways I was watering my plants this morning and I poured a whole gallon in 1 of my girls and notice a flood of ants coming out. I didn't freak I was just watching. the thing is I would have noticed them marching their small asses around, this is the first I've seen them. So will they hurt my plants? as far as roots go, and how do I get rid of them?:eek:

Probably Fungus Gnats, or Thrips..... Root Aphids come to mind as well for root buggers, but they don't tend to mass exodus like that! ;)
If your not flowering water some NEEM into the soil, and a spray of "Dont bug me" on both the soil and foliage wouldn't hurt! ;)
look i swear to you no gnats, thripes, spidermites, none of those. these are full blown clack army ants. I going to try and take pics of them tomorrow. you'll be surprised by what you'll see.Quote:
