first time shrooming advice

i am planning on buying and splitting an eighth with a friend in a week. Neither of us have ever done them before and i was hoping to get some suggestions/advice to prevent things from going wrong. Also, is there anyway to detect a shroom from regular shrooms so we dont get poisoned or anything like that. sounds stupid, but i dont wanna be misinformed so its important. if we split the eighth would that be enough to get us high? I am planning on having an extra friend there who will be sober so he can watch us and keep things safe....any feedback is appreciated.

Well, the BEST advice I can give you is split a quarter rather then an an eighth. You guys will each want 1/8 of an ounce of mushrooms for a good trip most likely. And unless you picked them yourself there isn't a way to make sure they're safe. But if they're home grown then they are. If they're picked outdoors, they could be, depending on how informed the person picked them is.

I split an eigth with a friend today, it was my first time. It did the trick nicely. The body high was rather insane, and at one point forgot where I was, and had some insane conversations and millions of thoughts running through my mind. It wasn't too visually intense, but otherwise it was a more than worthwhile experience. I dont' really feel like writing down my whole experience, but It was quite good.

During the comedown, we smoked a bowl and it fucking rocketed me 2 times higher than I was before. I had some crazy visuals and I felt my ego basically melt.

You shouldn't have much to worry about in regards to a bad trip, just during the come up do something to keep you happy.

On my comeup we watched a funny tv show, and laughed uncontrollably.

Just make sure you're at a safe place with noone to bother you.
