21 inches of snow!
Wow! This is pretty amazing. Kudos to the forecasting community for correctly predicting this and with amazing accuracy letting us know it was coming several days ahead of time. I was able to get to the grocery store, the pharmacy, the liquor store and my friendly supplier before the storm hit. It might be Sunday before I can get back out of here! Even the university has been closed for the last 2 days and I don't think that this has ever happened here before. I just heard on the weather report that the wind chill is -20 this morning. That is freaky cold!
I have to say that generally it is nice living out in the backwoods away from all the bother of the cities, but now I see that there are trade-offs to this country living. I think we need a tractor!

Hey Emmie! I'm glad you got stocked up...from someone who lives in a very isolated place on a big farm, get a 4 wheel drive tractor!!!!!!!! Maybe two! 6 or 8 wheel drive would even be better! LOL! I've broken 2 tractors already trying to plow out the 2 mile driveway here this am! Only have one more big enough for this crap and I'm not halfway thru yet! Some of these drifts I NEED chest waders (which I'm wearing for warmth and waterproofing) to walk thru! Just came in to warm up, adjust my attitude and get my thermos refilled with hot coffee and now I'm going to get back at it! Have fun being snowed in!;) At least I'm laughing about this now...:wtf: I won't be when I get the bill for fixing those two tractors
Whoever is praying for snow, PLEASE STOP NOW!!!!!!!!!!!
