Finally!

The decision has been made, the seeds are ordered and the box is on it's way. I chose to purchase an assembled turn key unit because I am just not a DIY kind o'guy. Besides, putting power tools in my hands can sometimes be a fool hardy venture.

Anyway, I am very excited and have about a zillion questions. First things first though...soil. Being a complete noob to growing I have opted for soil. So many people have highly recommended Fox farms products. I would love to use them however, the nearest place I have been able to find it is 2.5 hours away. Unless I want to pay 2x the price and have the stuff shipped on e-bay. I am on a very low budget and do not want to waste any more $ than I did by not being able to build my own box. So I guess the question is what are some thoughts on soil mixes that I can purchase (or easily mix myself) other than the 2 most likely, ie Fox Farms or MG? And just why do people frown down so on MG?

Also I believe I am going to get the Fox Farms nutes though, tiger bloom, big grow, and big bud. So I think the MG with these products may create an over feeding, burning and death of my new babies.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
