Bud is near harvest, but....
This is my 3rd plant and this time I used some random purp seed. It is about 2 months into flowering and is looking great. I just flushed it last week and gave it a bit more molasses, but straight water from here on out.
My question is: I see new growth coming directly out of the buds on all four sides, like new pistols. Is this normal? Would it be swollen calyxes? I am watching with a microscope, but should I be letting this new growth develop and begin to change color before I harvest?
Sorry no pictures...

after 2 months (8weeks) flowering; is when most plant buds, do their most growing...
They COULD double in size, during the next 2-3 weeks....enjoy.

Do you think I flushed too soon and it could of used another week of nutes?
Right now the trichomes are looking like 1-5% amber, 20% cloudy, rest appear pretty clear.

watch the trichomes...but, wait until the buds have stop growing, too.
I'm at 8 weeks flowering, too. I am flushing and watching the buds grow like crazy in size...
...the yield is way down, compared to past grows..:wtf:...mostly because I didn't do a third transplant...my bad.

They got bold and compact in a week, impressive.
Time for cutting nutes (flush) is hard to see right? Are there any signs for that (Like when you see first cloudy trichomes or sth like that)? Because flowering time also depends on plants condition, can be longer or shorter than usual.

It's easier, if you grow the same strain all the time. I've been growing the same strain puppies since '05....along side something new...for comparsion.
I don't even think about looking at the trichomes, until week 9 or 10.
