Re-vegging a hermie to pollinate with hermie pollens?
I have two plants, same strains (big bud skunk %50 sativa indica) from femalized seeds and recently they both hermied. But not the whole plants. Only the branches which are effected by light leak. One of them had 10-20 nanners, other one had only two. I pulled them off and left only one on the hermiest plant. I was thinking to pollinate the other one with this but it also had two nanners and confused me. I was still thinking to pollinate one of the other non-effected branch but i found out producing seed will take more than a month. I am not able to wait that long for some "unknown" things. But i am able to re-veg one of this plants and leave them on the balcony for summer to produce seeds.
My questions:
-If i re-veg a hermie, will it be still a hermie?
-Is it worth to do all of this for some femalized seeds?
-I still have one clear sativa in there. I can also consider re-veg her for some breeding. How about that?

If you did re veg the hermy, you could collect pollen from it, then paint it on a lower branch of a select plant. This way you could freeze the rest of the pollen and use it for other plants you want seeds for, plus you will still get a good yield of quality bud from the top buds. Win, win id say, but just me 2 cents man.

That's what I was going to do but I lost the only nanner. It wasn't opening for 10 days. So, I just touched it and it fall.
I will re-veg anyway. But pollination looks like on another chance. If I can see some other nanners around, still I'll keep the pollen and pollinate the re-veg. Even if I can't get pollens now I'll have some males for next run anyway. If I decide to breed then, I'll do.
Your cent's are gold here brother :hippy:
In the end I got the answers:

When I stress my ladies into throwing flowers, I re-veg 'em. They come back without nanners. Hopefully yours is stable and from a first generation femmed seed, and not a strain hybridized to 'autofem'. (a technical term I made-up for 'turn hermaphrodite') But likely you found the source of their stress, and all will be fine. I'd say it's at least worth a try. Re-vegging gives you a huge head start.
Femmed seeds give you a 100% better use of your veg room. (you won't have to cull the males, since there won't be any) And it sucks taking a month or two growing a veg room of plants, just to have half of 'em unusable. And try not to fem fem's over successive generations if possible. The strain might decide to keep her nanners forever...
My major problem with re-vegging the sativa's (especially the leggier ones) is that the light doesn't extend down far enough, and the lower leaves tend to die-off. This means in order to keep enough foliage to promote new growth, your re-veg starts life at about a foot tall. No big deal if running HPS or MH in veg, but a pretty big deal if vegging clones or seedlings under CFLl's or fluoro tubes...
You can collect femmed pollen, and use it on ANY female cannabis plant of breeding age. The seeds will still be female.

i was having this problem with leggy sativas and lower leaves so i drop some cfl's down the sides and middle and has really helpled... this is an old pic now but the lower buds are jus as big as the higher ones obviously not the top one that one just tops IT

Yup, side lighting can be a benefit. But use care. Anything directly above the bulb will be (over) heated.

yea fair point there is that problem of all the leaves wanting too touch the light... frequent checks and turning of plants pay off:thumbsup:
