Leafs a "crispy" feeling?
INFO:
Strain: Bubba Kush (Bubble gum x OGkush) [80/20 ->indica/sativa)
Lights: 6 CFL's (4day light, 2 warm) 100w - 23w equivalent. About 2inches away from top of plant
Watering: Only when soil on top and bottom (drainage hole) are dry to the touch (no moisture on finger when touched)..just noticed run-off water has a yellow tinge to it. (Sort of looks like ginger-ale, but without any gas! lol)
Soil: Miracle Grow (does not say nute/time release but on back says nutrients are time release[in small print] but not how long they last. NO extra ANYTHING given to the plant.
Plant: 5 weeks into veg (approx.). Height is approx 4.5-5inches tall.
Problem:
Some of the older leafs are crispy feeling? What could be the cause? Is the run-off water being yellow related?(or is that also another problem or nothing to worry about?)
Leafs a "crispy" feeling?
I just watered last night (after about two days of the soil being dry)...
Today I noticed the older leaves are droopy and the end is curled. I touched one and it sorta "chipped" the very tip of it :(
The newer leaves seem fine to me (knock-on-wood)
Anyone? :)

I don't feel comfortable furnishing any advice without some sort of pictures to let me see what you are referring to.
Maybe someone else can help without them?

5 WEEKS AND 1 DAY (approx. time in since it came out of the soil. Still in veg)
Leaves perked up a bit and are not as droopy as before.(watered last night)

Leafs a "crispy" feeling?
I am at a loss here, poker. The plant generally looks healthy but the crispy leaf is throwing me for a loop. Hopefully someone else will happen along this thread and have some advice for you to follow.
Are the CFL's too close to the leaves and possibly overheating or burning them?
Leafs a "crispy" feeling?
I will take a stab at this for ya. From the pictures, your plant does look healthy, however the end of the leaves doing the "ram horn" is a sign of nute burn. Also, if your leaves are "crispy" to the touch, that is a sign of heat issues.

@GreenThumbDoc your nute burn theory may be very correct because there is one leaf from before that had a little spot or two (little!) that lead to me to believe it was nute burn. That I don't know what to do about because the nutes are in the soil, Miracle Grow....any ideas on getting around that?
And about the lights maybe burning the leaves.. you can see in the picture how I have them setup. Do you think I should raise the lights up some?
@Lynhal Thats for trying. And good to hear it "looks healthy" :jointsmile:I am also confused because I have never dealt with this issue. (first grow)

Maybe try to fill troubleshooting form to get a proper help?
For nuteburn as an idea, you can use distilled or deionized water only or you can mix it with tap water, that will lower the nutrient absorbency. After you see the new healthy leaves, you can start giving back normal water.
