to bend or not to bend
Hey there,
my buddy suggested that I bend my bubblegum plant that is ferociously growing little guys all up along the stalk, but all of which (except the top cola) are having trouble eeeking their way past the large ass fan leaves to the light. I'm 11 days into flowering.

Later when I have time, I'll bend it as my friend said and take a pic so people know exactly what I'm talking about, but basically he said to take the entire stalk and bend it down in one direction, which will still provide it light but will allow light to penetrate through to all the secondary nodes. I think it's a pretty good idea. My friend suggested it because I have 6 p's in 7 gallon p's in an 8x4 area (killed the males) so I have some extra room. He said this will help maximize that room.
Other plants (that looked bushy as hell) have managed to get their arms out from under the fan leaves, i.e. pic: Cannabis Forums Message Boards - Medical Marijuana, Cannabis Club, Dispensary, News
like the widow in the back left corner.
Any advice would be appreciated on whether to bend or not bend! Again, I'll try and get a better pic up to demonstrate later today.

Don't worry about fan leaves. Don't cut them. Plant itself can support nodes which are in the shade. You can bend down. Idea of bending is not to give light in the first place. Its keeping all the nodes in same level for giving equal amount of light to each. When they supported good enough by big fan leaves they'll start do their own.
