Question About Lawyers

i dont know what my life will be like in the future, if i will lead a conformist's life and live as if there is nothing wrong in the world, or if i should be a major threat to the government, but no matter what, what should i do if i get caught by the cops? i understand your not supposed to tell the cops anything, but what about your lawyer, do you tell them everything, what they ask you, or treat them like cops?

Be completely honest. They have to know everything to form a defense, yada yada yada. Plus, they have a sworn oath to make your case completely confidential in what you tell them. Though, they still have to share evidence.
