1st question re: Price of FFOC

Hey guys, been lurking and learning for a few weeks non stop lol. I've had questions but found the answers via searching myself or by using the search function.
So anyway this is my first public question I guess lol.

What's a decent price for a bag of Fox Farm Ocean Forest? I saw some at my local hydro shop and he was charging 17.99 for what I believe was about a 30-40 lb bag.
Just wanted to see if that's a decent deal or if he's overcharging.

Also! He had some FF brand happy frog soil, same price. Is that stuff any good compared to ocean forest?

You are about $3-4 over the Portland Oregon price range. $13 average.

Must consider how far it needs to be shipped in from. I can get bulk deals but don't have the storage.

I agree with WW, you are getting burned. And if you live in Cali, FF is made in Cali. But, try and find a different store to do like I do, I tell them some one has it cheaper, and if they want my business they will match the price. If they say no, I walk out. Simple. I've never paid more then $13 and have used about 5 bags this summer/fall/winter, most outside. Matter of fact, needing another soon!! :thumbsup:

Oh ok, yeah I was pretty sure his prices are high just because we're in a small mountain town and he's the first and only hydro shop to be up here...

There's actually one more place up here, our ace garden center, that according to the FF website carried their products just been workin so much haven't checked out yet.

Is FF usually readily available at home depot or lowes?
I checked our local home depot and they only seemed to have mg and super soil brand...

So WW, does that mean that you can use nutes earlier with Happy.frog? Can you still use nutes safely with FFOF?

Dang at my local grow shop the FFOF is like 28 bucks with tax. But he is high on his stuff but i also live on the east coast ....

$24.99 a bag in Miami

looks like the further East you go the more spendy. Any specialty brands out East that are equal and less spendy?
